Very close to the museums, the park, and a short walk to the trolleys. So, a great location. The hotel itself is in a quaint building, with some of the narrowest steps I've seen on stairs inside (4 inches wide). The 3-person room we had was very small, with a tiny bathroom with chipped tub and sink. A naked light... More

This was the best priced ensuite room in Amsterdam at the last minute. the Staff are really nice, the rooms are clean and the beds comfy. Our washing was done for us free of charge, and the WiFi was really good. We hired bikes from the hotel (also the cheapest we saw) which made it alot easier to get into... More

We as two couples stayed to visit the beautiful city of Amsterdam. We found it a disappointing experience to stay at this address. Both rooms booked were far from clean, breakfast very poor and staff not serviceminded. The only reason for wanting to be here is the location, but that's about all. We can not recommend this hotel to other... More

I would highly recommend the hotel; the staff are very friendly and helpful, the location is great and the rooms are ideal. When we arrived we were early for checking in, which wasn't a problem as it gave us some time to do some exploring. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel which was great, and the... More

The hotel is well situated near the museums, the upscale PC Hoofstraat and lively Leidseplein. The rooms are small (as with anywhere else in Amsterdam) but comfortable and decorated with charm. They have different colour schemes and curtains which is a nice touch. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed during New Years Eve and were gifted a bottle... More

I and my dad only spent a night there but it was a pleasant stay, and only if we knew it was easy to travel to the airport, we could have stayed more nights. Bus and tram stations are in walking distance, which is also close to Van Gogh and Rijks museum. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is... More

The staff in the hotel are super friendly. The room was clean and warm and the location is fantastic! I'd recommend this hotel to others as the service was great. The area was quiet but close to all amenities and public transport..which is second to none in Amsterdam!

The location is great for museum goers. Near Vondelpark and also near 3 museums. It is situated among other commercial building used by designers or researchers, so in the evening when you walked past the houses and you take a glimpse through the windows, you get an idea of what they do. The staff were friendly and warm; always greeting... More

I stayed here at the start of November with my two best friends. The hotel is lovely and I cannot comment enough to say how helpful and friendly the staff were. They made us feel very comfortable when it came to asking how to get to places and they even booked taxi's and printed off tram maps for us. The... More

Really nice and cozy family hotel. The staff is polite, but prices a little too high. I got a room that was on the -1 floor and it was really neat but a bit too small. Anyway nice hotel that is close to the center of Amsterdam

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
