The hotel location is excellent, within easy walking distance of museums, city center, concert hall. The hotel is quiet, charming, and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast is ample and good. There is a Vondel park entrance a few steps away. This is our second time here.

We stayed just one night but it was an awesome experience! It's about 5 minutes from both vondelpark and the museums. There is a tram only one block away that can take you to most locations in Amsterdam. The room was very clean & you could hardly hear any noise. The best part by far was the staff...they were so... I came to Amsterdam for a concert, and stayed two nights at the Atlas hotel. I must say that this was my best hotel experience i've had. I arrived before the appointed check in time, but I had emailed them the day before and asked if i could leave my luggage there if i was early. They responded and said... More

We booked this hotel as a mystery deal and couldn't be happier. Service was lovely, room was clean, albeit on the small side, and the location was fantastic. Probably not the place to stay if you are having a big weekend with the boys, but otherwise, very good.

I am so glad we stayed at the Atlas Hotel. The staff were among the sweetest and most helpful people I've ever met. The hotel itself was beautiful and offered all modern amenities one could desire. Free wifi, comfortable beds, and wonderful bathrooms made this feel just like home. Location of the hotel was perfect, bordered by a beautiful park... More

Stopping here two nights and it's certainly value for money. The staff are really welcoming and friendly, they gave us great information about the city and how to get around. The room was spacious and spotless. If your looking for value for money then here's your place!

Came as a couple for a birthday weekend - clean, reasonably priced room in an excellent location but what made it really outstanding was the staff who gave recommendations of restaurants, transport, and sights to make the most of the trip. Not the most glamorous room but lovely hotel with great breakfast.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in May 2015. It's close to the museum area of Amsterdam and Vondelpark. We arrived quite early (around mid-day) with the intention of simply dropping off our luggage, but the manager provided us with complimentary cups of coffee while he went to check if our room was ready. It was, so we... More

I booked this holiday through Ice Lolly for my 21st birthday. It was really simple to do over the phone and the lady recommended The Atlas Hotel as being in a great area and had loads of good reviews. We booked a double room for myself and my boyfriend, the price was decent as we were only staying 2 nights.... More

My wife and I had great stay in Atlas for two nights during our visit to Amsterdam. First of all, I'd like to praise excellent customer service from the hotel team, they were extremely helpful and friendly! Secondly, the hotel itself is very nice, small and with character. Thirdly, the location is very good - a couple of minutes walk... More

    Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

    Neighborhood Profile
    Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
