We stayed here for our anniversary. And we enjoyed the stay it was brilliant on the ferry which was regular and we were still in heart of city. The rooms were small but comfortable and as you only sleep here it was good. The rooms were clean and staff were helpful.

We booked the hotel for 4 nights as a quick city break. The room was small but what do you expect from a former cruise boat. Bathroom was just a shower and very small as well but we had hot water and the towels were changed every day. Staff were brilliant and always hapylpy to help and the suttle that... More

First impressions of the Boatel were not good. BUT once checked in and in our room we were warming to the place. The rooms are very basic but very clean. The shower room is small but manageable. Breakfast is "Continental" but very filling. The bar serves a good pint. If the Boatel was a ship used for a Caribbean cruise... More

Our travel agent booked this. Sleeping on a boat in Amsterdam seemed like a cool idea. Nope. You read the reviews of tiny rooms, but these rooms were not even big enough for our suitcases. Bare bones minimum, like a jail cell. Breakfast was a fiasco, with all those rooms they have one tiny area for everyone to dish up... More

Me and my mate stayed here for 3 nights and it was great. very clean basic rooms, includes radio, tv, shower, safe etc. towels and bedding changed each day. Bar was cheap and had pool table & darts, also done decent food. The FREE ferry across from centraal too the hotel was boring but a good experience and its free... More

If you are looking for luxury this isn't the place for you. I booked 4 nights as a surprise for my husband's 60th birthday. The cost for a 4 night stay was reasonable. The age group on the Botel was very mixed. We both enjoyed the experience of staying on a boat. Accommodation is basic but very clean, the staff... More

Fourth time and just as good as always. Ok so the rooms are small but they are clean, so much to see and do in Amsterdam that you really don't spend much time in it anyway. Very good breakfast and the short trip on the free ferry to get to the botel is an added bonus.

Everything about this hotel is great. It is a short, free, ferry ride away from the centre of Amsterdam, the rooms are bigger than expected with good showers, great views and brilliant staff. Breakfast was above expectation and we would come back here in a flash! The free WiFi is faster than my fibre connection at home and the baris... More

The rooms are basic and quite small but the bed was very comfy, with fresh linen and fresh towels every day. Bathroom is tiny but this is to be expected on what was originally a river boat cruise ship. Nothing else provided in the room, not even tea/coffee making facilities but for the price we paid, it was good value... More

Stayed here the end of July, pretty cheap. Had a really good time, the only down fall is waiting for the ferry!!! But on the bright side it does only take 10 minutes. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Plus the breakfast was really really nice! Would recommend!
