We only stayed one night in July but we can confirm that you get what you pay. Clean and quiet rooms, free wifi and very well connected to Amsterdam Central Stationby a free public ferry. Excellent option for visitors with limited budget

The hotel is located on the north side of the harbour, but it's very easy to take the free ferry to the central station. The boat is nothing special but clean and functional, and the area has some very good and in fact fancy modern restaurants and bars. The service in the reception is nothing special, but they do what's... More

We only stayed one night but it was very cheap compared to other hotels in amsterdam. The rooms are basic and clean and you are a short ferry trip away from the central station and the ferry is for free.

You definitely get what you pay for with this hotel it's very basic and quite compact but is how ever a nice quirky hotel to stay in! There's a free ferry to the centre of Amsterdam which is all fine and dandy until your coming back on it at midnight in the middle of January when the weather is freezing!... More

This is a basic hotel instresting that it is a ship though. You get what you pay for, as it has all the basics plus a bar and complimentary breakfast. Only problem is that it is a little way from the centre but it your willing to use the free ferry it shouldnt be a problem.

I've stayed at the Botel twice this Summer. Its a unique experience, I've never had a room in a boat before. Its also convenient, the ferry service makes it easy to get back and forth to Amsterdam Centraal, but it does take some time. For me it was nice to get away, but you should consider this when making your... More

We knew the botel was across the other side of the river at NDSM dock so were able to find it easily, using the train and ferry from the airport. Ferry was always busy but free and runs every 15 minutes at peak times. Efficient check in but the room was very basic, like being back in the 70s. Tiny... More

Good points: The hotel is in a great location with easy access via a free ferry into town and into centraal station. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. There are a few bars around the hotel for guests to have food drinks. Points to note: The rooms are small and cosy The walls are thin and therefore... More

There nothing special about this Botel - clean, basic and cheap, I enjoyed the fact it was my first time staying on a Botel. Trying to find the Botel for the first time was somewhat difficult as the instructions on their website are basic. A free ferry service will take you there every 20-30 mins, only a 10 minute ride....
