5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

went on my first holiday with my boyfriend and we booked here. Not quite sure what to expect at all, we were pleasantly surprised at the facilities provided for a budget price. It is everything you could need, and the staff were friendly. The free wifi in bedrooms was an added bonus so we didn't have to sit in the... More

Fun and different hotel. Our room was for 2 people and was sufficient. Bathroom and shower very small but do-able, no hair dryer. No airco but you can open the window. Free ferry every 30 mins to Centraal Station, leaves from next to hotel. Breakfast was bread and sandwich meats and cheese, croissants, sausages and bacon, boiled eggs, coffee, juice.... More

My husband and I stayed her for 3 nights in June. I paid €309 euro via Booking.com got a double room 3 nights bed and breakfast. We stayed in room 411 which had a double bed and great views overlooking the river. Other reviews say rooms where noisy however our's very quiet as was situated on the 4th floor right... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in june 2015 and did not quite know what to expect as it was the cheapest option but we needed something cheap at short notice. because it was a cheaper option, we did not expect much other than a roof over our head and was worried that it would be full of... Good location for the city a easy free ferry service takes you to central station. The Amstel Botel is a bit quirky! The accommodation is very clean. The beds are comfortable all rooms have a good view .. The staff are friendly, the breakfast is basic but adequate there is everything there, example.. coffee tea toast egg bacon orange juice... Cheap, a little cheerful accomodation - something abit different - rough and ready and slightly uncomfortable. Unlikely to return - but didn't spoil my holiday. I've heard it gets very cold in the winter months.

It is a very good deal for low budget travellers who do not wish to sleep in a bunk bed at a youth hostel... It is a large ship, anchored by a solid boardwalk. The rooms are small, but big enough for those who don’t stay in all day (and who would, in Amsterdam). Shower is tiny, but manageable, water... More

Having read some very mixed reviews I was not looking forward to the trip. It was however one of the best in Amsterdam and I loved the Botel. The ferry was easy and free and actually very scenic crossing. Will be boooking this hotel again as we just loved the whole experience and would recommend. Breakfast was amazing with real... More

A nice stay for the price you pay. The breakfast buffet was simple, but it got the job done. The rooms are small, but the bathroom was very cramped. Other reviews warned about having 'your sea legs', but the only time I ever felt the Botel rock was during a storm, aside from that it was very stable. The front... More

We stayed for one night on the 1st june. We travelled there on the free ferry from central station, the very first stand on your left. The guy on arrival was pleasant and helpful he also gave us a free apple. The guy on the bar was a little moody looking, seemed to begrudge helping with the pool table even though... More
