The Amstel Botel is not much to write home about but all in all, it was pleasant and I would return if need be. It was clean, the staff was friendly, it was cool sleeping on a boat, it was quiet at night, and being a little disassociated with Amsterdam's hustle and bustle was actually quite nice. The ferry ride... More

It was a little inconvenient to get to and from the hotel when visiting Amsterdam but the price made up for that. The beds were OK, but I did not like the fact that they the mattress was encased in a wood box. When sitting on the edge or getting in or out I had to deal with the hard... More

Hotel with a difference, the hotel is a boat converted. Quite a good idea really and it works. The rooms are small but theres enough room for a few nights break. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was a good start to the day, few selections of cereal, toast, eggs, tea, coffee and juice etc. The boat... More

The only BAD (very bad) was the fackt that constuction workers started reconstruction of the deck (above our cabin ,room 426 at 07.30 AM !!! Complained first at 07.45 at the reception but the drilling & other construction... More

Me and my wife stayed at the botel on 6th and 7th of march. Its a good, clean hotel with comfy beds. The bathrooms are a bit small and the breakfast is a bit rubbish! but it didn't bother us really and we would recommend to anyone who is on a budget, but likes to be comfortable!

The breakfast is self service, choice of hot & cold, plenty of variety, Rooms are compact as is the shower, however it is really good value for a short stay. you have to take the FREE ferry from the back of the central station which adds to the fun, \the reception are very helpful, the... This place is advertised as luxury accommodation. Make no mistake this is low rent budget accommodation suitable for stag parties and backpackers only. Don't waste your money if you are looking for a nice hotel. Staff are unhelpful and for Dutch people they are quite rude. In the evening the hotel is run by a security guard he's ot so... More
