Clean enough, decent breakfast and low fares! Position is ok with often connection by ferries to central train station. Value for money if you don't seek anything luxurious. Unique experience sleep in a boat!

Stayed with my other half for 3 nights, found the Botel very friendly, comfortable. Stayed on the top floor which was quiet and had great views! Only negatives we found were, walls are thin, can hear people in other rooms, shock the room when people walked about. Also limited food at the bar and limited places (apart from Amsterdam central)... More

Nicely situated; only 14 min to city centre by free ferry. All the basics of a hotel are there. Good price quality ratio for amsterdam. And if you come by car, the nearby parking spot is payable for amsterdam notions. Nice staff and willing to help

As you can imagine, it's not too different from a room in a large cruise ship. Tiny rooms and even smaller bath room (but good water pressure and hot water availability), and to get back you will need to catch the complimentary ferry which ends around 11.30 pm. The platform (entire Botel) moves a little because of the waves so... More

I booked Amstel Botel less than a week before we were due to fly and I got a brilliant rate off booking.com. I booked two twin rooms that didn't include breakfast and it cost £70 per room for 3 nights! We arrived later than I had told them we would due to flight delays but they have a 24 hour... More

Botel is perfect location if you want to be near to Amsterdam city centre, but not right in the middle of it. There is a free ferry that runs every 15-30 minutes across the river right to Amsterdam Centraal Station. The room was adequate, albeit quite small. We had a water side view, which was lovely. Breakfast was nice, although... More

Just got back from a three night stay on here. My daughter booked Amstel Botel and she picked a winner. We stayed on deck four and enjoyed every minute. Rooms were bright and clean. Yes, they are basic but what's wrong with that? Bedding and towels were changed daily. There's a bar and dining area on deck two. Burgers and... More

Well what can I say about this Boat/Hotel its quite basic, no frills but quite homely at the same time. No one bothers you everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Nothing seems too much trouble. The breakfast on board is 10 euros and very good value for money. Get there early as there's not much left later, its served between... More

Myself and five others stayed here for two nights during my Dads 50th birthday weekend celebrations. The hotel reception are polite and very helpful when required. Our room was cleaned every day. The room itself was slightly small (for two fairly large blokes anyway) but more than ok for just a short stay. Breakfast is from 8am until 10:30am and... More
