Our visit to Amsterdam was only for two nights, so we had limited time to take in the sites. We booked our stay on line, on arrival our room was confirmed but not ready. So when we arrived later in the afternoon we were told our room was no longer available. And we were being moved to another hotel which... More

The hotel is 2 star and it shows. Rooms are very very tired and not clean. Staff though are young and friendly and bed was OK and so was bathroom. Breakfast was reasonable but floor areas and walls filthy.

This is a very good budget hotel. I have no real complaints about this hotel. Sven, who was manning the front desk, was very friendly and helpful when we arrived, and helped us with our bags and gave us some recommendations of places to see in Amsterdam. The room itself was relatively big, with a biggish, clean bathroom. The only... More

This hotel is in a great location, has an owner that also runs a Restaurant from the opposite street which is connected to the courtyard of the hotel by a beer garden with loud continuous noise, broken glasses, smashing of bottles, group singing etc which at 1.30 am reduced in volume a little and music finished at 2.20am then furniture... IN A CITY THAT IS SO EASY TO GET AROUND, AND WITH SO MANY HOTELS, STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE. In between 2 night clubs and on a noisy canal...no sleep. Would have closed the window to block the street noise, but no AC. The hotel is dirty and in disrepair. Smelly damp carpeting everywhere. Threadbare towels and exposed wires... More

Let’s start with the good points. It’s located next to the Flower Market, facing a canal, close to restaurants, food market and tramways. The free breakfast is fair and the people at reception are very nice. That’s it for the positive side. Now the dark side. There is no elevator. The stairways are very steep and steps are narrow to... Great location, just down Kalverstraat and all near Leidsestraat, ideal for shopping, with very friendly staff and smiling but that's all !! This hotel falls a bit ruined, dilapidated room, stained carpet and noisy,... a bit limited.
