This hotel is centrally located close to many restaurants and bars, as well as the museums. Short distance to take a canal tour from across the Rijksmuseum. A 15-minute taxi/car ride from Schiphol or approximately 20 minute commute to Leidseplein via Tram 1 (towards Osdorp De Aker), 2 (towards Nieuw Sloten) or 5 (towards A'veen Binnenhof) get off at Prinsengracht.... Arrived at the hotel at 11pm to be told our room had been sold to someone else! The reason being they didn't know if we would turn up, id made a reservation and there was no option to say we would be later or telling us to let them know if we are late otherwise our room would be sold... More

The room was very small, although this is a common problem in Amsterdam and there's not much the hotel can do about it. But we had some specific problems. Firstly our TV did not work, We were offered a different room but did not want the trouble of moving rooms. One of the towels was not very clean and there... More

We had six rooms at the Theater District Hotel for a three-night stay in Amsterdam. By US standards, the rooms could probably be considered more like dorm rooms than hotel rooms and the bathrooms are like closets - very small. The breakfast is cold, but sufficient with cereal, yogurt, fruit, breads/rolls, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, and cheese and meats.... More

This is a small simple hotel. Basic clean rooms (we had superior), pleasant staff, simple continental breakfast but good. Great quiet location near the Leidesplein restaurant and bars area. Plenty of eating places to chose from. We recommend the Cafe de Koe for good local food. The Backstage bar is good on a Tuesday for open mike night acoustic song... More

The hotel is very conveniently located near the Rijksmuseum, other main museums, canals, and shops in the theatre district of Amsterdam. The rooms are small but since all we needed was a clean and comfortable bed and bathroom - this hotel fitted the bill nicely. The front stairs are deadly and steep but that is a minor inconvenience. The staff... More

the hotel was easy to find, close to all the musuems and although on the main road i heard no noise, the room was suprisingly large, having previously spent time in amsterdam and heard that all hotel rooms were small in the centre it was a great size. really friendly staff, the only downside was if you struggle with steps... This hotel came at a reasonable price as part of a hotel/flights deal and is very close to a lot of the touristy places...Vondelpark, museums, canals, shops, restaurants. Couldn't fault the location. It would have been nice to have better complimentary toiletries and sound proof doors as the noise of guests doors nearby was often quite annoying late at night.... More

I have just returned from spending 4 nights at this hotel and was enjoyed my stay there. Room 310 was advertised as a compact single and that is exactly what it was. I slept really well and was surprised by the quietness of the hotel. It was convenient for all the obvious places to visit in Amsterdam and the breakfast... More
