My girlfriend and i stayed at this hotel during our first stay inamsterdam. As said in many reviews the location of the hotl is perfect. it is right in the centre of the city on Dam square near loads of shops restraunts and attractions. There is entertainment and street performers in summer at dam square which is good. The hotel... More

SLAMS, Public Relations Manager at Swissotel Amsterdam, responded to this review

The reason for the reviewer’s card being charged twice was a technical error with the company that handles the money transfers between the hotel and the credit card company. As soon as the mistake was detected de double charge has been refunded immediately. The management of Swissôtel Amsterdam has already offered its sincere apologies for the inconvenience to the person... More

Swissotel Amsterdam was superb in everyway. Great staff and location, everything went very smoothly over the 2 days we were there. Will definately return to Amsterdam and would defineatly only stay at the Swissotel. My only suggestion would be that they could do with some Maxebars instead on ther minibars.

My girlfriend and I spent the weekend at the Swissotel Amsterdam last week and it was fantastic. I think this hotel has the best location in all of Amsterdam. Right off Dam Square, steps from nightlife, and down the road from museums and shopping. Granted, Amsterdam is a walking town, but we didn't walk for more than 15 minutes to... More

very nice hotel, exceptional location. Our room ( a junior suite) was quite big, the bathroom was huge, the view over the Dam was very pleasant. The staff was very kind and helpful. The only bad point is the noise, which in summer, must be unbearable. Thanks to Tripadvisor I had "boules Quies" with me, and we spent 2 wonderful... More

We stayed in a Junior suite over looking Dam Square. Brilliant central location w hich is close to everything. The room was beautifull, very big, well equipped and clean. Nice place to lounge in and not just a hotel for sleeping in, like most are in Amsterdam

We stayed at the Swissotel Amsterdam for 4 nights. Actually, we knew our arrival from the states would be way before normal check-in time, so we booked the room from the night before we arrived (paying for 5 nights total), thus assuring a check-in whenever we turned up.It was well worth it to us to be able to take a... Hello, I stayed at the hotel for 7 nights total. I had a Suite overlooking Dam Sq. My friends had a classic room. I recommend to pay the extra money and get a suite. It was 3 times the size of the classic room. You had a living room area, very large bathroom, and so much more. It was well... More
