Booked this hotel because of its location, being within walking distance from the rail station, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, pointing out things on a map of places we might like to visit during our stay, Our room was on the small side, but was clean and modern and quiet.

I loved this little hotel, right on the Singel canal. It's less than a 10 minute walk from the train station (carrying a suitcase), and although the area around the station is a little seedy, this hotel is in a peaceful, lovely neighbourhood with restaurants and pubs nearby.
