My wife and I returned from a three night stay there. It was basically what I expected. Firstly, on arrival it was easy to find. Take tram number 1, 2, or 5 from central Station and get off at Leidseplein (about or six stops). Walk towards the Marriott Hotel and take the street directly to the right of it and... More

Just stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, booked mainly because of the location being walking distance to Vondel Park and Van Gogh museum and easy tram links to Red Light and Dam Square. when we arrived about 6pm we were greeted by a very helpful, very funny man! he gave us our key and we proceeded to the room,... You just know when you have to lug your cases up the front steps, and the staff watch on, it is going to be a memorable stay but for the wrong reasons. The room was the smallest I have ever stayed in. A double bed pushed against one wall with barely a metre to one side and at the end... More

We selected this hotel because it was ideally situated to explore Amsterdam and very reasonably priced. It is in easy walking distance of all of the main attractions that Amsetrdam has to offer. Our room was very small, a double bed which had one side up against the wall, but it did manage to fit in a TV, a small... More

We spent 4 nights at the Prinsen in October 2014. The hotel was a pleasant surprise and definitely a bargain. It is situated very close to several vibrant streets but the environment was still calm and quiet. The room was rather small but c'mon, we came to see the city. The bathroom was big and well-renovated. Everything was really clean... More

The hotel is very old and should be renovated. It looks like a hotel to go in for an hour... It is very dirty. The bathroom stinks relly ugly and there are small animals on the floor. Hairs are on the bed. Really disgusting. The breakfast was ok. Never again!!!

We really enjoyed our stay in Prinsen Hotel. We arrived on bikes and were told we should have called ahead as there is nowhere (officially) to park bikes safely. But the nice guy at reception let us take our bikes through to the garden out the back. We had to wait until breakfast was over next day to retrieve them.... More

The hotel is tidy and clean, old but classical as the rest in the area. Staff very helpful and gentle. Breakfast is included in the rate, it's buffet style, not bad. The location is the best! The neighbourhood is highly safe and calm but 5 minutes walk distance to an area plenty of restaurants-pups, tramp, buses and tours. Rate is... More

We visited Amsterdam at the end of July for a couple of days. The hotel is placed in a very good location , close to the town center and all the museums and hotels. Although the rooms are tiny , they're clean and cosy. Enjoyed our time there and will be back ...

I traveled here with my daughter in July 2014. We stayed 2 nights. We had a room with 2 twin beds with a view of the garden. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-decorated. The staff were helpful and friendly. We were SO CLOSE to the museums! We arrived via train at Centraal Station and it was easy to use... More
