The hotel is very old and should be renovated. It looks like a hotel to go in for an hour... It is very dirty. The bathroom stinks relly ugly and there are small animals on the floor. Hairs are on the bed. Really disgusting. The breakfast was ok. Never again!!!

We really enjoyed our stay in Prinsen Hotel. We arrived on bikes and were told we should have called ahead as there is nowhere (officially) to park bikes safely. But the nice guy at reception let us take our bikes through to the garden out the back. We had to wait until breakfast was over next day to retrieve them.... More

The hotel is tidy and clean, old but classical as the rest in the area. Staff very helpful and gentle. Breakfast is included in the rate, it's buffet style, not bad. The location is the best! The neighbourhood is highly safe and calm but 5 minutes walk distance to an area plenty of restaurants-pups, tramp, buses and tours. Rate is... More

We visited Amsterdam at the end of July for a couple of days. The hotel is placed in a very good location , close to the town center and all the museums and hotels. Although the rooms are tiny , they're clean and cosy. Enjoyed our time there and will be back ...

I traveled here with my daughter in July 2014. We stayed 2 nights. We had a room with 2 twin beds with a view of the garden. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-decorated. The staff were helpful and friendly. We were SO CLOSE to the museums! We arrived via train at Centraal Station and it was easy to use... More

A very pleasant low key hotel located in a very quiet street and only a five minute walk away from where it all happens the leidesplein .The rooms are just about adequate with the use of a lift to each floor very clean rooms dilligently tended to and an adequate continental breakfast range. A five star attentive staff for a... More

Stayed here on a weekend trip to Amsterdam with my wife. The room was overpriced and small(barely enough room to swing a dead cat!) The basin was blocked and therefore wouldn't drain properly. We called the manager who I can only describe as a sleazy middle eastern looking man. He could not fix the problem. Getting breakfast(cold food) was like... More

We stayed 3 nights in a double room on the first floor at the front, with a small balcony overlooking the street. It was very clean but really small for two people to move around at the same time. It felt like a single room with a double bed. Thankfully we only had 2 small bags as there was very... More

I stayed at this hotel with a mate for 3 nights. We arrived at the hotel around 7pm for check-in and the guy serving us started having a "go" because I didn't have my booking details on me... I could clearly see my name on his computer and see my booking. They gave us a room near the top, we... More
