I chose this hotel because it had an acceptable rating on trip advisor compared to some of the other hotels in the Museum Quarter of Amsterdam. I dread to think what those hotels are like if this one is considered superior! I was there for work so needed a hotel close to Museumplein. thankfully I didn't have much time to... More

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. We had a comfy little twin room at the top of the hotel. It was clean & tidy with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others. It was a short walk away from the hustle and bustle and on what I though was the nicest... More

The Quentin England Hotel is a quaint boutique hotel on a nice quiet street away from the Districts fanfare. The staff are friendly and very knowledgable about the area and public transportation. The hotel itself is "boutique like" you are not getting 5 star Ritz Carlton treatment, you are getting "clean-budget" local hotel treatment. I am from the US and... More

We chose this hotel for two reasons, one being the location and the other the price. You can walk or get a tram everywhere which is an obvious plus. At the time there weren't any similarly priced hotels as close to the centre, but of course be aware that the budget rooms are cheap for a reason. Our room was... More

We arrived at the Quentin England on the Monday evening. After a long journey to get to Amsterdam, we were given a friendly greeting by the receptionist who informed us that we were being given a complementary upgrade of our room - from a budget double room to a standard double room with private shower and toilet. We stayed in... More

I didn't like this place. First there was not even a window in my room. And this room was so small that you don't have enough space to unpack your stuff. I lived on the third floor and the stairs there were so narrow and uncomfortable especially when carrying the luggage. The only nice things were friendly receptionists and good... More

Dear Dear Yuliya, Thank you for your review on Expedia and Booking.com We are sorry to hear that the room did not meet your expectations. Please keep in mind that the Economy/Low Budget Rooms are not very spacious. These rooms are located in the basement with a small window or on one of the floors without a window. This information... This hotel is in a fab location!! Close to everything and more than reasonable in price. We stayed on the 3rd floor which was quite a hike as the last flight was really small and tight obviously because of the age and style of house. The room was clean and a good size and so was the bed. the wifi... More

Overall a satisfactory room and facilities but we could not have asked for a better location. Walking distance from all main attractions and sights. We didn't use our tram pass once! That being said, it's situated down a peaceful residential road so you are not disturbed by any night life.

The location is great, but for the price we paid the room were quite small (the single beds are only 90cm wide so for big blokes like me it was not the most comfortable!) - it was most probably because it was New Year Eve period. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean overall.
