Having read some negative reviews I was pleasantly surprised buy the standard of this two star hotel. The staff on arrival were very helpful, the room was fine with a nice balcony area with table and chairs. It is a very close proximity to the centre and we would definitely stay at this hotel again

I'm on a tight budget so stayed in one of their single rooms way up in the "servants quarters" without a lift (that was tricky with my bad back), and a bathroom shared with 5 other rooms. However, it was great to be able to stay in this lovely area, near Vondelpark, Van Gogh Museum & Rijksmuseum. Tram and supermarket... More

This hotel was, in a way, as expected. We were on a budget in Amsterdam and saw from the trip advisor photos that the rooms are tiny, with barely any space beyond the bed. In the end we decided we wouldn't be spending much time in the room and for the 3 nights we were there this would be fine.... More

The hotel is very basic. My double room had no space to climb into bed. It is a good location near the museums, but it is very expensive. My recommendation is to stay out of town and use public transport to visist the city. For example there is a Hampton Inn outside town to the south.

I chose this hotel because it had an acceptable rating on trip advisor compared to some of the other hotels in the Museum Quarter of Amsterdam. I dread to think what those hotels are like if this one is considered superior! I was there for work so needed a hotel close to Museumplein. thankfully I didn't have much time to... More

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. We had a comfy little twin room at the top of the hotel. It was clean & tidy with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others. It was a short walk away from the hustle and bustle and on what I though was the nicest... More

The Quentin England Hotel is a quaint boutique hotel on a nice quiet street away from the Districts fanfare. The staff are friendly and very knowledgable about the area and public transportation. The hotel itself is "boutique like" you are not getting 5 star Ritz Carlton treatment, you are getting "clean-budget" local hotel treatment. I am from the US and... More

We chose this hotel for two reasons, one being the location and the other the price. You can walk or get a tram everywhere which is an obvious plus. At the time there weren't any similarly priced hotels as close to the centre, but of course be aware that the budget rooms are cheap for a reason. Our room was... More

We arrived at the Quentin England on the Monday evening. After a long journey to get to Amsterdam, we were given a friendly greeting by the receptionist who informed us that we were being given a complementary upgrade of our room - from a budget double room to a standard double room with private shower and toilet. We stayed in... More
