Amongst expensive addresses a cheap stay. Close to Vondelpark. I got a tiny room very high up (4th floor) which had definitely seen better times. Soft bed, dodgy cleaniness. Shower toilet in 1 tiny room: ok. If you look for a place to crash and money is your only concern it is ok. For more I doubt. They told me... More

Stayed 5th Jan - 8th Jan, Down a very quiet street-handy for everything-out on main you have the casino, pubs, hard rock cafe, blue boat bus and vondelpark all with in distance. Just a little walk to the muiesumplein-get a taxi to anne frank-I had blisters for days. Just up a bit on main you have all the pubs/clubs-Jimmy Woos... More

Hello jammiedodgerScotland Thanks for choosing the Quentin England hotel for your recent stay in Amsterdam. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in our hotel, even thought the delicate sound of children from the nearby nursery might have not helped with your lie in. I am afraid some of our walls are rather thin; this is something we are looking into... More

Upon arrival..... sheer disappointment, even the shabby outside sign couldnt prepare us for what was ahead. However upon entry we were plesantly surprised with the rustique tables, wooden floors and general ambiance. We arrived a few hours before checking and so wanted to sore our suitcases. After being issued with the fence post key, my friend kindly took my suitase... More

Stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of December. We were upgraded to a better room on arrival. Room was very spacious. Hotel wad very close to Leidseplein and within walking distance of Vondel Park. Have stayed in this hotel before and would definately stay again. Much better value than the Quentin Hotel in the Leidseplein More

1st, the positive: walking distance from everything. Quiet & safe neighbourhood. Great service at Reception (i.e. a girl from N.Y. who was very helpful with tourist info & breakfast). Breakfast was appropriate for the price. 2nd: NOT so positive: we got room 22. If you get this room, run like hell or demand a different one: NOT 1 single window,... More

If you are on a tight budget, want to stay near Leidsplein (believe me, you do!) and want a clean, reasonable size room to crash in and a big enough bathroom to wash up in, then the Quentin England is for you. We stayed on a ground floor room, which was great...we could open the window, and it was remarkably... More

I was looking forward to spending a long weekend in Amsterdam with my Fiance, and I would say this place ruined the weekend. First of all I stayed in an "economy" room as I usually do when traveling, I was not expecting anything more than a simple bathroom and enough room to sleep. Upon arrival we were put in a... More

The reception staff was very pleasant and helpful and would be a definite reason to return to this hotel, however I felt let down by the room cleanliness( dirty carpets and dust piled up on the edges of it, water stains in the ceiling) and a very very noisy housekeeping storage cupboard directly next to the room. You could literally... More

we arrived in Amsterdam with no reservation hoping to find a reasonable rate for a decent budget room for one night, but were prepared to return to Germany if we couldn't find one. It was a spur of the moment decision to visit Amsterdam. We were given the name of this property by a different Quentin hotel whose clerk said... More
