I stayed here because of the location, and the staff are pleasant. The room was clean, but it was the size of a cupboard--the risk of booking online through a third party--and breakfast was not particularly varied, especially for a vegetarian.

This hotel is absolutely fabulous , went for 4 night with my boyfriend the staff and amazingly friendly and so helpful. Great location - should be a 4* and not a 3. Great price for location , quality and atmosphere. I can't wait to go back absolutely amazing hotel.

I stayed at the hotel with my friend. All I have to say is that the hotel was really nice and lovely. Clean room and toilet. Big bed and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was it was one big quilt. I like to have my own quilt. All of all it was a very good hotel I'll be... More

The hotel is in the museum center of Amsterdam. We spent a weekend with the extended family and had 3 rooms . The hotel is in a quiet street bordering on the Vondelpark . Parking is very expensive in the center (EU 4.50/hr) so you better come with a taxi or the tram. The hotel has solutions for cheaper parking.... More

Stayed here for 4 nights recently and was not disappointed. Great location just next to Voldenparc and the museum quarter and not in the mayhem of Dam Square. Triple room was a bit cosy but hotel in General was great with a fantastic breakfast and really friendly staff. Hotel is not geared for partying but the bar area was good... More

Good location near voondelpark but with breakfast not provided and not cheap. No fridge, no tea coffee making facility, extremely small room. Wasn't really worth the money. Easy access to galleries and central amsterdam. Everything in walking distance.

Stayed here twice in May/June. Small rooms but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good. Great location but can get noisy at night as it is just beside Vondel park and the street folks sure like to party! There was a small mix up with my second stay but staff were accommodating and provided a partial refund to offset the room... More

This hotel is in a good location and is easily accessible by Tram from the main station. We were in room #133. In that room one must go up two awkward ill designed steps to enter the bathroom. The breakfast was very good. We were charged for it. However, I later found that most were not. The property is overdue... More

Our room had a large bow window opening onto the Vondelpark , right across the street. Everything is within walkable distance and the rooms are quite large compared to average size in Amsterdam. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. One thing we really did not like; the housekeeping man walked in twice without even knocking at the door, early... More

An average hotel for the money. Overall standard is "very worn out" with many small things in the room (room 144) in poor condition or just not working. Unusual bathroom solution with extremely poor lighting. Room size okay for two adults in kingsize bed and one teenager in single bed. Only had breakfast once and we had great expectations from... Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
