Before going there, and during my stay, I have read and heard a few comments about the size of the rooms. Some people complaining about it. But mine (144, 4th floor), wasn't that small and was very silent. It was clean and confortable. For me the best thing was the breakfast. The hotel is besides Vondelpark and is close to... more

Although on first glance this ought to be a good hotel in a great location (park across the street, a few blocks from the 2 great museums), I must admit disappointment in our experience. First, the desk staff seemed distant and perfunctory, then the bar keeper was rude. The bar was usually filled with what seemed to be friends of... more

Tiny single rooms but the location, service and lobby area more than make up for it. The price represented extraordinary value too, I can't fault the place; if your looking for an inexpensive, reasonably stylish and not too boutiquie hotel experience in the perfect part of Amsterdam, look no further. more

Firstly, in Amsterdam terms, this hotel is good value for money. There are many other hotels in the city charging the same or more that are of a far lower all-round standard. The hotel is pleasantly located in the museum district of the city next to the Vondelpark. You are very close to the Van Gogh museum and the Rijksmuseum.... more

My experience at this hotel was mixed; on the up side, I appreciated the free internet stations (there were 4) in the lobby area, the lovely breakfast and the helpful staff. On the down side, the room I was given was on the older part of the hotel, overlooking the small park in front, which meant that the room itself... more

After having to drive rather than fly due to the snow we received a warm welcome. We were attending conference at Hilton which was only 15 minutes away but €200 per night more expensive !! No problems with noise or heat in room (137). Very confusing room numbers but soon got used to it. Pay TV system is dead despite... more

This hotel has a very upscale feel and the bar area and my room were quite nice. My biggest issue with my stay was that my room was located at the foot of some stairs just outside of the main lobby. As a result it was hard to get to sleep and I ended up being woken up early in... more

I used Trip Advisor in May when going to Barcelona and consequently loved the Hotel Monte Carlo on Las Ramblas. I was therefore confident that the Hotel Piet Hein would provide the same experience. I booked what was described as a 'deluxe' room but was disappointed on arrival to be shown to a very small basic room that had not... more

The hotel is clean and modern. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are very clean. Rooms are small but two people can move around. Breakfast room is lovely and the food is standard but very good. A rice table restaurant and a bakery are just around the corner. Van Gogh and Rijick will only be a 5 or 10 min walk. You... more
