We stayed at this hotel for a 2 night hen weekend. The whole hotel definitely has an 'odour' to it, and the damp odour was even worse in our bathroom, but we soon got used to that! There were 4 of us in the room, and it was 'cosy', with the beds falling apart, some of the plugs coming off... More

This hotel he worse place I have been too. Scruffy, smelly and disgusting inside, thstaff lift has graffiti, decor is poor and the room was sub standard. This hotel should be shut down. We did not check in and had to find another hotel for the new year period, staff were rude, unkempt, tardy. Just like the hotel. Don't do... More

Basic hotel but not good value for money as breakfast is €10 extra. Shabby and uncared for, furnished and decorated on the cheap. Convenient for canal district but doesn't enhance your experience of Amsterdam

This hotel is very tired and is very disappointing. Some of the staff were helpful but on the whole they were disinterested and unhelpful. Our room absolutely stank of drains and made you retch if you visited the toilet. The extractor fan was broken and covered in mould which was most likely the cause. They also allow smoking in the... We booked into this hotel for 3 nights, when we arrived at the hotel I realised immediately that we had made a mistake, the photos on the website are completely misleading the place is disgusting! Our room was tiny we booked a double room and arrived to a room with 3 single beds squashed in, the bathroom is also tiny... More

We booked this hotel via their website where all pics are nicely made. In reality the room we booked was one dark, old, smelly hole with broken table, not working electricity plugs and many more. I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Staff on the whole pleasant particularly breakfast staff. Sadly the accommodation was terrible and does not look anything like pictures on website as you can see from our photos of our room. Stains on the curtains, hole in ceiling light, chipped paint on window sill, not to mention filthy radiator in corridor!!!

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. After being given a twin room instead of a double, we also realised that the tv didn't work and the mattress was hard. The next day we moved to a double room which was much better although the room was a little tired? The breakfast wasn't worth the money and the whole... More

Excellent little hotel in a central location, perfectly situated for all the main attractions. We had a triple room which was quite roomy, comfortable and warm. Yes the light switches and some other fittings were a bit old but we were only sleeping in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Don't buy the tickets for the attractions from... More

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
