This hotel turned out to be an unexpected pleasure. There are a few things I would change, but it definitely goes in my recommend file. It's located in a lovely, upscale neighborhood south of the city. Very convenient to Amsterdam Centre, but without all the stag parties and the persistent smell of weed (lol). Tram #5 is two blocks away... More

We stayed 3 nights in this older style hotel. It is clean, comfortable and quiet. It is in a nice, peaceful suburb with parks in the area. The museum precinct is 5 mins on the tram which comes every 5 mins. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Our top floor room had a leafy outlook over the top of the... More

Hotel is clean and functional with helpful and friendly staff, about 10 minutes to walk to the RAI exhibition centre. The only downside is you hear a lot of noise from the corridors as people come and go. Staff helped me to find somewhere to hire a bike and explained where things were located.

I have visited this hotel for the second time this year. I have appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and the central location very much. Do not forget to rent a bike and you will stay fit during the business trip! There are nice location in the neighborhood and the RAI congress center in 10 min distance biking

I spent two nights at this hotel in May 2015. When I arrived the reception staff was extremely friendly and offered advice on the trams, supermarkets and restaurants. Plenty of brochures are also provided in the foyer. There is a tiny lift (one person plus one suitcase) and a very narrow winding staircase to get to the higher floors. My... More

Just come back from a fabulous weekend away even though the weather could have been kinder to us. Traveled with friends and stayed at the Apollofirst. What a great hotel, the location was superb as other guests have stated the hotel is very near the tram line, but we walked into the center of Amsterdam each day which using the... More

The Apollofirst was very clean and tidy, it was a little bit out of the way of the centre of Amsterdam but close to the tram line which runs regularly so this wasn't a problem. The area around the Apollofirst was quiet and tidy, the taxi driver told us that it was one of the posher areas of the city.... More

We spent a night at Apollofirst prior to boarding a Uniworld river boat. We arrived early after a Trans-Atlantic flight and the staff was very accommodating to get us checked in early, focusing on getting our groups rooms ready. The price was and quality is top shelf with a location close to the tram and abundant shopping and restaurants. We... More

Love the location, and has great shops and restaurants near by. The tram is only a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Room 22 on the first floor is like an apartment with lounge, dining table with chairs, couch and TV- great for two people. The staff are friendly. Great lounge for cocktails and the outside garden is very pretty.... More
