The Appollofirst hotel is a bit out of the city centre but it has a very nice bar area and the rooms are good. Beware of the very steep stairs with young and older guests but there is a tiny lift. The breakfast there are the best I have been offered in years without doubt. Not masses of cooked options,... More

The hotel itself is fine: though our room was quite small, it was cosy, comfortable and well equipped. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The best feature of the hotel however is its location. The museum quarter is on walking distance, and tram 24 and 5 go directly into the Center / to the Central Station in merely a few... More

It is situated not far from the Museum square in a quiet place. Rooms are rather small but clean. Breakfasts are usual. The only problem I have met with is a theft. After cleaning the room my shampoo L'Occitane has been stolen. I can't get any reasonable explanation from the Receiption. Making a decision to stay in the Hotel be... More

In the south of the city, near to the museum and exhibition areas and within easy reach of the centre using public transport. A very pleasant hotel which does breakfast, but no dinner. This is not really a problem, as there is a shopping district just around the corner, with several restaurants offering a diversity of cuisines. The rooms are... More

I stayed in this hotel as it was close to an event I was attending at the Hilton Hotel. The Hilton is ridiculously expensive and I usually stay in the Bilderberg Garden Hotel, but unfortunately that was fully booked well in advance of my stay. This was a lot cheaper, but at well over £100 per night is not cheap.... More

The hotel is some way outside the main centre of the city but a couple minutes from a tram line that takes you straight to Central Station and stops at Museumplein, Leidesplein and Dam, all key stops or interchanges for the tourist. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the hotel has a somewhat quirky, boutique-esque look and feel, with... More

Very nice small hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff is amazing always helpful and smiling. The hotel is not really in the Downtown but it's not far from it and on the other hand you get some piece during a night :-) You can also rent a bike from the hotel (that's actually a thing you should do in... This very nice hotel would have received an excellent rating if the WiFi had worked a little better and if they had a breakfast area. However, everything else was great.... clean nice bathrooms, great furnishings and beds, cool little lounge, and very helpful staff. They really bent over backwards to try to help us numerous times. They were a little... More

We had a reservation in Amsterdam but when we drove to the address on our confirmation the hotel wasn't there and the phone number was disconnected. We are very well travelled and this had only happened to us once before in a rural town in Uruguay. We got back in the car and drove around for about 15 minutes and... More

This is an old hotel that has a nice "vintage" flavour. Rooms are very small. Breakfast is OK. Staff are correct and efficient. Very quiet, some rooms have a very nice view of a quiet backyard. Nice neighbourhood.
