Stayed here beginning of July when attending the White Sensation party at the Arena. Paid £270 for 2 nights , an utterly exorbitant price for 2 nights in this hotel. Very average and an extremley dated hotel. One of the men working at the front desk was border line obnoxious to boot. I paid extra for a late check out... More

We arrived at the Omega early in the morning from the ferry to drop off our bags. When we returned later in the afternoon to check in (we couldn't check in earlier), we were told we had been bumped to another hotel. No apologies, and when offered a room at the Omega to share between three (as opposed to the... More

The room was not very big and dusty (telephone, TV, mirror, pictures). 2 lamps beside my bed did not work. They could repair one. Bad lightning in general. Tiny bathroom (when I bent to the wash-basin, I burned my backside at the heater). The breakfast was rather poor (very good coffee, but only one type of sausage, one type of... More

The Omega Hotel is in a really good location for the Museums and picking up the tram to get into the centre of the city. The Hotel itself is an average Hotel, the room we had was large enough but it could have been cleaner and definitely needed a lick of paint as it looked tired and shabby. Having said... More

The rooms were small but clean. The breakfast was acceptable and the location is really good. It's right near a tram line and within walking distance of museums and restaurants. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the centre, but close to museums/parks/restaurants. There's also a tram right nearby that takes you right into town and/or the train station.... More

My Latvian friend chose this hotel because of price and proximity to museums. The check-in desk area is quite small, but the employees are very helpful (will watch luggage for you, give you reasonable suggestions on where to go to eat, etc.) and the elevator is right by the desk. The room was smallish, but well sized for us and... More

+ Hotel had a good location - close to main attractions (Leidseplain, Vondelpark), but in the same time in a quiet place, close to a tram stop, which went right to the Central Station. + Bells of a church didn't disturb us, because the church was under reconstruction. + Staff were polite. We hadn't problems, which staff had to solve.... More

This hotel is mostly clean, but very shabby. Could use a serious facelift. Seemed a bit shady. Some said it added to charm, but to others it was not nice to come home to after a long day of sightseeing. Good thing was that it was on a quiet and fairly calm street. It is about a 10 minute walk... More

Omega Hotel does not warrent 3** hotel status. A 2** boarding house mark would be closer to the mark. A lick of paint, new carpeting and furniture here and there would not go amiss. On arrival we found our room safe didn't work. Turned out that it needed battery replacement. Happens that another guest experienced an identical problem!!! Maybe the... More
