Our family of four spent a night in one of the senior suites with a canal view. It was like having our own apartment. Great location. The stairs to the room were very steep, so if you have a problem getting up and down stairs, this would not be the place for you. Otherwise, lovely.

The location is excellent, the staff is friendly and very helpful; the rooms are pleasant, but a bit small, there are no tea/coffee making facilities, the wifi is erratic and slow; the breakfast is good.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel in a gorgeous historic location within walking distance of most tourist attractions. It is immaculately maintained and very comfortable. Staff are unfailingly charming and cannot do enough to help. The brasserie restaurant, which had its first night while we were there, offers a high standard of cooking - the best meal we ate in... If you are going to Amsterdam for the first time, I highly recommend you consider the ambassade. It is the perfect hotel in a perfect location. Now to qualify that. I am a quiet 53 year old man who no longer needs to be in the hustling and bustling section of a city. I prefer a centrally located, but picturesque... More

This is a centrally located hotel. Stayed with my family of 4 for 6 nights. We were able to walk to most places from the hotel. Service was great and the view was amazing. The hotel has charm and the canal view was amazing. Would definitely stay here again.

I have been staying at The Ambassade Hotel for about 10 years and wouldn't consider anywhere else. It is so charming, quaint, beautiful and feels like a slice of Dutch living. The rooms are all unique and have very large windows looking out to the canals on each side of the hotel. The location could not be better situated for... More

I shared a triple room with 2 friends during a weekend break to Amsterdam. The hotel is in a great location. There are plenty of good bars and restaurants in the surrounding area. There are also some lovely boutique shops nearby and it's easy to get from the hotel into Dam Square (10 minute walk) or to Amsterdam Central (walkable... More

The Ambassade is a collection of several former private residences located in the heart of old Amsterdam on the Herengracht (gentleman's canal). This was a prestigious location for wealthy merchants beginning in the 17th century, and the exteriors of the Ambassade and surrounding buildings retain the feel of the original residential area. The interior of the hotel features an abundance... More

The Ambassade is in a great location in the Inner Canal Rings. We had a large room with a Canal view. The hotel houses a fabulous art collection. Service was very good. Walking distance to restaurants.
