True the hotel is dark and dingy. The room was basic with worn furniture and drapes. No amenities other than soap and towels but it was quiet. It is well located and the desk staff could not have been nicer. They were all young, spoke English, and were very helpful. For the price in Amsterdam it was a good deal. More
