We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. Hotel is well located facing the Amstel canal and very close to Rembrandt square with its many restaurants and bars. Room was puny and we had to put the armchair in the lobby; no tea making facilities. Room staff careless; we had to beg for towels and toilet paper. Otherwise reception and... More

We stayed at the Hampshire hotel but it is really two hotels in one. The front facing a canal is the Eden and the rear facing a road is the entrance to the Hampshire. The rooms wre comfortable with ample cupboard space, TV, fridge, safe and tea/coffee making facilities. The problem with our room was that it was right next... More

I stayed at the Hampshire-Eden while on vacation with some friends. The central location made getting to most tourist attractions easy. The rooms were adequate, breakfast is basic but very nice. The concierge service is happy to help and answer even the most redundant questions and the in-house bike rental is a big plus. It's high on the list of... More

Charming hotel just on the edge of Rembrandt Square. I wish we'd read the review that recommended taking a tram from the airport, but not being familiar with the city, we used a cab and it cost 70 euro for the four of us--the hotel offers a shuttle for about 23 Euro pp r/t, so maybe the cab wasn't such... Me and the fiancé went to amstadam for a few days to get away. Its such an amazing city. The hotel was situated about 40 mins from the airport. Dont be tricked into getting a taxi though, its cheaper and actually quicker to get a train and then walk or get a cab or tram. Its 8n a good location... More

This hotel is ideally located;very close to Rembrandt Square, with its many bars and restaurants. It is also very close to the main shopping areas, and close to the stops for the canal cruises. It is situated right on the banks of the Amstel river, with fabulous views of the canal system and right opposite the very impressive Opera House.Central Station is about 10... More

This hotel is in rembrandtsplein in Amsterdam. Take a tram from central station and then a 2 minutes walk and your there. This was my 3rd time here. Something i didn't like this time was the staff here. Well, they weren't as friendly as they were on my first 2 visits. I saw a worm in my bathroom and my... More

The hotel was a great place to spend the weekend in Amsterdam. It is close to Rembrandt square, and close to the tram stop, which gives you access to a lot of Amsterdam. The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble to them. The room was clean, and comfortable, with the cleaning staff around everyday with fresh towels. The river Amstel runs along the... Just returned from a 3 day trip. This hotel is perfectly located, Amstel river on one side and Rembrandt square on the other. At check in we were advised that we had been upgraded to executive rooms. These were extremely spacious, located on the 5th ( top) floor so there was no outside noise. Breakfast was excellent, great choice and... More

I just got back from a 2 night break. This hotel is a perfect location - walking distance from everything. The central station is about a 25 min walk - I suggest you do this as it is only 3 stops to the airport and 5 euro each as appose to 48 euro in a taxi! The hotel itself is... More
