We booked this hotel because of the positive reviews on this website, and we were certainly not disappointed. The hotel was superb in every aspect from the complimentary snacks in the lounge to the cosy rooms with view over the canal (if you pay a little extra for canal-view). The breakfast buffet was delicious and had all things that you... More

Staff were all very helpful, particularly Kevin at reception. Room clean and in good condition. Free minibar and drinks at the lounge area a nice touch - even if just for fruit juice and mineral water. Good range of breakfast options. Comfortable bed and even a pillow menu. Well located on one of the nicer canals, close enough to walk... More

We have just spent four nights in this hotel, which is definitely one of the very best we've stayed in (and we've stayed in many!). The combination of style, informality, efficiency, friendliness and cleanliness, not forgetting the complimentary drinks, made for a relaxing and thorougly enjoyable stay. Returning here after a busy day was almost like returning home (where someone... More

This was my fifth trip to Amsterdam and I've stayed at a variety of hotels around town. The Banks Mansion is the best by far - the location, the comfort and service were absolutely top-notch. The 'living-room' will make the traveler feel like they are back at home - but better. Fabulous and fresh breakfast, in-room movies and a well... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights in mid feb and found the hotel to be lovely. The room was great with a great shower and a very comfy bed. The included drinks and minibar are a nice touch. We wanted to see as much of the city as possible and found the location to be very central... More

We booked this hotel as part of a package deal and were not disappointed. We paid a bit more for a canal view room and it was definitely worth it, the view from our room was amazing. The staff were friendly, rooms impeccable, breakfasts were great and we really enjoyed the complimentary drinks, an unusual but very welcome addition. I... More

We stayed at the Banks Mansion for a long anniversary weekend last summer, and it was perfect. The hotel's "living room" for guests is a fantastic concept, a great place to come back to and relax with whatever you'd like to drink and little snacks, comfy chairs and magazines to read - I'd pop down from our room with a... Stayed here for a long weekend end of Jan 2008. Could not fault it (and I have stayed in many hotels in AMS). The staff were excellent - very friendly and efficient. The room was large, very comfortable and nice touches, like a free mini-bar. Also - no fooling around looking for adapators to plug in my laptop - it... More

This hotel is perfect in every way! I traveled as a single woman and loved the security, friendliness, and coziness of this hotel. The location is incredibly convenient to everything. It is an easy walk from the train station. Half a block away is a street full of restaurants, any of which will accommodate a single person. On nights I... More
