We visited the hotel on my boyfriends birthday weekend. The hotel was rather expensive for a 3 night stay, but it was his birthday present from his parents but it was disappointing! We got upgraded to the Urban Wing as the receptionist said the only rooms left in the old wing were small. However, in the refurbished Urban Wing there... More

Very strange question is that there's no slipper in the room. I had to ask for it. I wonder if Netherlands do not give slippers? (Genuine question) I got annoyed because. I always stay with Club Carlson hotels whenever I can, this is very surprising feeling something is missing. Emmmm....

This hotel is far from good. Rooms are very small with a door-less bathroom sitting in the middle of the room. The bathroom was partitioned with glass half of it greyed out to give some "privacy" lol. The room I was given was in a basement with a small window reaching to it through narrow corridors. Breakfast was very humble... More

We we allocated a room in the original part of the building. Even though it was looking s little tired and could do with a freshen up we had a lovely stay. Its conveniently located across from the Central station but don't let that put you off. There really isn't much noise and if you are lucky enough to get... More

I was on the business trip with my colleagues and the rooms were booked for us in the very last moment, so the view was average as well as the rooms. The stuff at the reception could be nicer. I had a feeling that we were treated with rather low respect, e.g. saying to one of my colleagues that he... More

We stayed at the Park Plaza 07/15-07/17/2015. Upon arrival, was given keys to our room and found it to not be made up. Gave us an upgrade, which was dark and musty. Something in my bed was sharp and scratched my ankle. I didn't report it at the time because it only looked a little red, but later in the... More

Stayed at the Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam for 2 nights (July 6 & 7). We checked in early around 1pm. We stayed in the Urban Section. Rooms were on the small side but were very modern and clean. The Pool and Gym facilities were awesome. The Sauna is HUGE! The location is perfect for anyone who is arriving and /... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
