The friendly, helpful desk staff who welcomed us on arrival gave us a good first impression of the hotel and of Amsterdam in general. Our room was quite big, with a very comfortable bed and a view of the lively little street outside. The hotel had recently been completely redecorated, so everything looked very clean and fresh. The continental breakfast... more

I was a bit wary of staying here after looking a some of the reviews but decided to go ahead as the location was so good.On arrival discovered that the hotel renovations were just finishing and it had been redecorated. The bedrooms were clean and quiet with flat screen tvs and very comfortable beds and the bathrooms looked new. The... more

Booked with Venere to stay at the Tulip Inn, Dam Square for a Christmas break. The location is good, it's in a small Street just off Dam Square. We had an attic room with no window or view, but a large velux type roof light that could be opened to allow in fresh air.The room was quiet and had tea... more

Me and my Fiance have just been to Amsterdam for 3 days. We stayed at The Tulip Inn dam Square. For a 3 star its a great choice. The rooms are lovely, with lots of space, a really nice bathroom and great views of the city. To see that people have said it's in need of decoration was quite surprising... more

the rooms aint big and yes the hotel does need redecorating quite badly BUT, the beds are comfy, the hotel is quiet and the bathrooms are brand new and very nice. As a place to rest up between cafes and bars its a winner, as a destination hotel . . . that would be a resounding no. Also fantastic staff... more

We stayed in The Tulip Inn recently we were not impressed we found the entire Hotel needed redecoration, the paintwork was very shabby the carpets were very stained leading from the reception area to the lift, which put you off before you even got to the bedrooms. The rooms were very small and basic certainly not worth the prices we... more

This hotel is clean, functional and has a great breakfast. The staff was warm, friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable, but don't expect frills. The hotel is very convenient to everything and most attractions can be easily walked to, including the train station. It is also convenient to a diverse selection of restaurants. We would return. more
