Just returned from the summer journey. The hotel is very good. Situation is excelent. Close to the railway station and all the city facilities (shoping, museums, etc). Stayed at the Convent Hotel from 3 to 6 July 2009. Very convenient position as close to the station and trams run from outside the hotel. Very comfortable hotel, staff friendly and very helpful - answered all our questions and gave good advice and information and sold us a "strip card" ticket for the trams, which worked very well. Highly recommend. From arrival with Porters, to reception, to housemaids all so courteous and rooms, bedding and pillows most comfortable. Situated between railway station and The Dam Mall, easy walking distance to both with tram stop almost at the door. more

If you book through Expedia you get a good deal that is greatly discounted on their advertised rack rate. Spent a night here. Hotel is very pleasant. Good location, clean rooms, reasonable bathroom and friendly staff. The breakfast is over priced and there are plenty of cafes nearby. My room was quiet, clean and comfortable. If here as a tourist you are well located for everything. more
