Got a good deal on this hotel, partly, I think, because the Health Centre was apparently closed, so no comments on that. The hotel was excellent, but not overbearing, from arrival by taxi, to departure. The 23rd floor bar was laid back, with fine city views, and a cocktail selection at reasonable prices. The room itself was lovely, with everything... More

This hotel is a great business hotel as it is just a short walk to the RAI convention center. The hotel staff is very friendly and all speak English at a high level. It has several fine restaurants, though I wish the has at least one lower cost more casual place. On the whole is very nice 5 star experience.

Hotel is really nice! Employees are welcoming and polite. My room was spacious with a big mirror opposite to bed! Not bad I would say. City view from my room was ok, but nothing special, but it's understandable. But breakfast buffet for 35 EUR is waaaay toooo expensive! Even if your company covers your expenses!

My experience at Okura is always perfect! Management noticed a minor issue with my room (I didn't even say anything about it...) and they moved me to the executive floor and gave me a suite! This time I had the honor to eat at 2 of their restaurants as well as the breakfast and the food is out of this... More

The hotel is situated near the expo center of Amsterdam, it' s part of a Japanese chain and offers various japanese restaurants. The rooms are fully equipped, but a bit old (the design is old). We enjoyed the swimming pool (quite big and perfectly worm) and the sauna, as well as a nice sun bath. Breakfast is very good and... More

This Hotel is one of the best locations in Amsterdam, the breakfast offers a huge selection and there are also excellent restaurants for dinner located within the hotel. Quiet rooms and fantastic views over the city.

Checked in late on a Saturday night after a very long day - check in was very smooth and a warm welcome on arrival. Our room was an executive junior suite which was lovely and spacious and a very comfy bed! We ate dinner in the Yamazato restaurant which was amazing! The sushi was delicious and the service was great.... More

We reserved for 8 to have a special dinner at Ciel Blue and to our great surprise they asked us if we wanted to be at the Chef's Table. It was absolutely fabulous! the waiter ( incredible knowledgable), the kitchen staff, what professionals!. The food sublime and definitely the combination with wines: AMAZING! We had some changes in the menu... More

Hotel Okura has all of the comfort, amenities and luxury of contemporary Japanese style lodging with more spacious rooms. Taking a dip in the large indoor swimming pool is the perfect antidote for jet lag. The spa and gym facilities are unparalleled for hotels in Amsterdam. Check out the sushi bar for phenomenal sushi at a price that is surprisingly... More

Staying in De Pijp

Neighborhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
