The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is in a great location. Its a quick walk from the train station in a quieter and picturesque neighborhood. The rooms were on the smaller side, but very comfortable. The hotel has a moderately sized executive lounge that had breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres for gold members. Some parts of the property are starting to show... More

The hotel is convenently located in the Northern part of the city centre, a 5 min walk from the central station and the central Dam square, ten min walk from the Anne Frank House and just a 2 min walk to some of the most beautiful canals of Amsterdam. The lobby is generous and stylish and staff are exuberant in... More

I've stayed at a few of the "nicer" hotels in Amsterdam and this one has been the best thus far. Room was spacious, looks exactly as the photos from the website, and is perfectly located near Central Station.

I travel a lot and have very bad but some that renews your delight of traveling. I had to travel and stay here for a conference. I have preferred level status but I wouldn't think that matters on if I'd receive special treatment. They went out of their way to make me feel welcomed and accommodated. I arrived early and... Stayed here for 3 days ahead of getting aboard a Viking River Cruise. Room was clean, well appointed, albeit european in size. Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the front street of the hotel. Very quiet. Comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet was extensive, part of the Viking package, so I can't speak to price/value. The hotel is perfectly... More

Stayed 2 nights. Close to everything downtown. Lots of historic things to see. Close to Red Light District and all the Canals. Close to Trolley transportation to all over the city. Rooms are spacious and the restaurant is very good.

Just the right distance from the centre of Amsterdam to be able to walk, and yet just away from the crowds. Modern facilities, a bit bland in nature. Good club lounge, if you are a rewards member. Canals are all around. Parking available at a fee

The good point, its location,a short walk from Amsterdam central station. When you compare it to other 5 star Renaissance hotels it lacks in a number of ways - the shower/baths are smaller, the rooms are smaller and the cleanliness within the room was ok, just ok. The rooms can be very noisy and we moved rooms due to that. I... More

Very nice clean rooms. We had a long winding walk to our room. Well appointed. Staff was very helpful Breakfast was a bit expensive and was not a good value. Great location. Concierge desk was absolutely the best. Great tips, advice, maps etc. The cafe bar had great atmosphere but had to get many drinks made at the main bar... More

Superbly located, quiet, clean hotel with excellent service and quite good food. Can't beat the location if you're walk-oriented, the best way to see European cities in my opinion. Also public transportation is easy in Amsterdam. Hotel staff are very focused on service. Rooms are typical European size, smallish by American standards for this price, and very squeaky clean with... More
