3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

This hotel is well located for exploring Amsterdam, although I found it a little more confusing to find than others where I've stayed (it's close Central Station, though). The rooms are attractive, clean, very Marriott. As a Marriott Gold member, though, I might not rush back - as the experience was less than "rewarding." I've stayed at many Renaissance properties... Good hotel walking distance Central Station. Initially tricky to find. Not as good as other Marriott places that I've stayed but good. No free in-room WiFi but free lobby WiFi. Good bar service. Poor restaurant service but plenty of other options to eat nearby. Short walk to Dam Square and Damrak where the canal cruises and side-trips start from.

This is one of the best hotels I've ever seen. It is located perfectly, at walking distance from Amsterdam Central Station, but on a quiet street. The rooms are big, very clean, the breakfast is excellent. Big and comfy beds, very good sleep (we had a superior room, really big). The staff is very nice and helpful, always smiling. I... More

Affiliated with Marriott, this hotel is in a location that is walking distance to many Amsterdam attractions. We walked to the Anne Frank House, canal rides, museums, the famous red light district, and a multitude of restaurants and shops. Buses, just a block away will take you to other museums, etc. Information concerning attractions and directions may be obtained at... More

Concierge services were excellent. They booked excursions for us, arranged a cab, checked opening and closing times at the Anne Frank house and were just very helpful and courteous. The hotel is just a short walk from shopping and restaurants. Staff was pleasant and the hotel was very clean.

We just returned from a 4 night stay at the Renaissance over the recent Bank Holiday weekend. Since it was our first time in Amsterdam, we chose the hotel specifically for its location very close to the Centraal Station. It was a short and easy walk to the hotel from the station (even with luggage) - no need for a... More

This was a business trip. The front desk staff are pleasant and efficient. I found the bed exceptionally comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. It was clean and well ordered and breakfast was fine. All in all, nothing to complain about, everything to recommend and its location is excellent - a couple of minutes' walk from the Central Station. Perfect.... More

This is the first hotel review I've begun congratulating the concierge. I'm sorry I didn't get his name. The concierge was both helpful and professional with no aires and he spoke exceptional American english (not that that mattered to us). The restaurant recommendations made by the hotel and concierge were spot on. One restaurant, De Belhamel was a perfect choice... More

The hotel is located near the Central Station and affords a 10 minute walk to the Red Light District, 20 minute walk to the Anne Frank museum and about 45 minutes to the Museumplein. We picked up a canal cruise near the central station. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. the staff was very helpful and... More

If location were the only requirement, this hotel is primo for Amsterdam, nice staff, decent sized rooms, excellent executive lounge and the bar area was very nice. But big problem was the paper thin walls and doors. The first two nights were quiet, then 2-3 guys moved in next door and I felt like I was sharing my room with... More
