the hotel is very mediocre when it comes to service and facilities. Its biggest advantage is location - between central station and red light district. central station is not that close if you have lots of luggage. front ofice needs training - we were checked in by xavier who was suprised to hear that the gold members of marriott rewards... It's a really good location, less than 5 minutes walk from Centraal Station. The staff in the hotel were really helpful. The room was lovely, with a really modern, clean bathroom. 20 euros for wifi access is really too expensive. Something s bit more reasonable would have been ok. The area that the hotel is is has a few nice... More

Nice hotel, great location. Large room though tiny old bathroom. We requested a quiet room and were given a room with a view on the parking and very poor insulation, or better say no insulation at all. Standard Renaissance breakfast. Forget about the concierge, they are not very knowledgeable and helpful. It’s worth to stay there if you get a... More

My favorite property in Amsterdam. Can't beat the location. Staff is impressive and friendly. For Mariott elites, the lounge is top rate. Great breakfast buffet. Rooms are a good size, nice bathrooms. My only complaint is the ibahn Internet service...dial up speed. For 20 euros a night, I would have asked for it to be removed from my bill. Thankfully,... The hotel was easy enough to find around 15 min walk from the station. Check in from 3pm, we arrived at 2pm and room was ready. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Our room was the on 4th floor, on the side by the multi-story and was very quiet. The hotel is... More

Great hotel to set up base to explore Amsterdam. Great location and a short 5 min walk from the Central Station and easy to drag your bags along after arriving by train. Staff was helpful and we got our canal cruise tickets right from the concierge desk and they helped locate restaurants. The Club Level is worth the extra money... More

I have visited all sorts of hotels in Amsterdam but I was surprised to find the Renaissance Hotel. Beautifull design, unmistakenly the Marriott-style. I would call it a businesshotel although the breakfast-room is almost in boutique-style. Right in the middle of Amsterdam but in a quiet street, some blocks away from the coffeeshops and their visitors. If you arrive by... More

I selected this Hotel as it has a great location and of course the brand name. You do get what you pay for and in this case, you do pay and pay. 279 EUR/night + 13 eur city tax + 20 eur internet+26 eur for breakfast. Hey, its capitalism. True there was a show in town, but this hotel is... More

I have stayed at this hotel three separte times in the past month and the consistency of level of service and room has been exceptional. Each room was good sized for European standards and very nice and clean on the inside It is close to the Central Rail Station which is very benefical to see the rest of Holland as... More

Charmed by much about this hotel. It's walkable from the central train station, but on a small quiet street. Rooms are nice, large, clean, excellent bathroom. Staff is great, helpful and cheerful. We were on a club level and they provide a vey nice breakfast. I just found it odd that we were in the 9th floor wing, which was... More
