Stayed here for three nights. It's very central, fairly close to the rail station and closer to Dam Square. The room we stayed in was on th upper floor, it was very clean, and compact without being small. Noise level inside the hotel was almost non existent. There was some noise early mornings with bottle banks being emptied, but to... More

The hotel itself is in perfect location. It's right by dam square. There's a supermarket right by, you can see it as soon as your out of the hotel. The hotel itself looks nice. The steps on the stairs are stupidly small that you struggle walking down them without the risk of falling. You have to leave €50 upfront which... More

We stayed for two nights. On arrival we found hair in the bath and something (not sure what) sprayed up the wall and onto the ceiling so for us it seemed badly cleaned. The kettle was hidden in the wardrobe so that was a bit odd. Some positives though were that the bed was really comfy, staff were nice and... More

This place was arranged by a friend as a last minute surprise deal and was excellent. This hotel is clean, friendly and only a short walk from Dam Square in the centre of Amsterdam. Our room was comfortable and clean, if a little on the small side. We didn't eat or drink in the hotel as it was a bit... More

Great hotel in wonderful location. Staff was top notch in every way. Room was clean and large enough. I had asked for a quiet room, and got just that. We were on the third floor and never heard a thing. Breakfast was wonderful and varied slightly each day. Would stay here again without a doubt.

A beautiful hotel which was run by courteous, helpful and efficient staff. The rooms were immaculately clean with everything you could want to make your visit comfortable. There is a comfortable lounge which looks out on the main street & a lovely, tasteful bar. Breakfast was very good and there was a good variety of hot & cold food.

I stayed in this hotel with two friends, we had each booked single rooms but had lovely twin rooms on 2nd floor. Rooms are light and airy and have everything you need. The beds are wonderfully comfortable and there is even a kettle, tea and coffee and a safe for your valuables. Bathroom is a good size and there is... More

Checked in to the hotel after being told it was disabled friendly. However, when we went to your rooms the rooms where not disabled friendly. There where no grab rails in the shower or by the toilet. The rooms also had a little lip that you would need to lift the wheelchair over before you even got in the room.... More

We stayed here two nights and would definitely recommend staying here. Upon checking in, the staff were very inviting and helpful. The room is nice, clean, provides free wi-if, and the bed was very comfortable. The room had a coffeemaker and the bathroom was modern. There is a very nice restaurant and a great bar in the hotel. The hotel... More

First time to Amsterdam and not disappointed. Our chosen Hotel - Die Port van Cleve - is very central just 100 yards from The Dam and 10 minutes walk from Anne Frank's House. 15 minutes from Central Station. Fabulous meals in the restaurant and an absolutely magic bar attached to it with an amazing variety of drinks - thought we... More
