I found this hotel after doing some research about different hotels in Amsterdam. I wanted a hotel that was centrally located and at a good price. This hotel perfectly fit what my companion and I were looking for. It was incredibly easy to get to by tram from the central train station, and was located between two major tourist areas.... More

Dikker & Thijs was recommended by a friend who named it her second-favorite hotel in Amsterdam, after the uber-expensive Dylan. Now I know why. It's in a terrific location, on the corner of the Prinsengracht and Leidseplein, which is one of the tram mainlines. To the west are the Anne Frank House, Westerkerk, and the Jordaan District, great shopping and... More

our stay was without any problem, the service was very good: helpful, professional and attentive, The room was clean and commodious. The breakfasts were very good. Location outstanding. Very good value for money. Not a single reservation in recommending this hotel.

The hotel is comfortable, and both our room and the location were wonderful. You're smack in the middle of the shopping centre, near a canal, most of the sights can be reached by foot and several trams stop right outside the hotel. The staff is kind and welcoming. The hotel is not cheap, but well worth its price.

What a great little hotel. Right on the corner of the Prinsengracht canal and Leidsestraat, one block from the Leidesplein, right in the middle of all the action, the location can't be beat. You can walk pretty much everywhere you want to from here. And if you don't want to walk, then take any tram that comes to the stop... More

My friend and I stayed here recently for 2 nights during the week, and it was lovely. The hotel was clean, tidy and in the perfect location. If you don't want to stay too near the hustle and bustle of the red light district but don't want to walk to far to get there, then this hotel is perfect. It... More

I was very pleased with every aspect of this hotel. Considering how expensive hotels are in Amsterdam, I was apprehensive when I saw the rate for this hotel. I was fully expecting something much worse. However it was just the opposite. The room was very clean and spacious. Our room overlooked the canal and provided a nice breeze in the... More

We booked this hotel on a last minute deal and it was a great value. The location was fantastic right on the Prinsengracht canal. We were able to easily walk to all of the sights and attractions on our list. We took a bus tour to Keukenhoff to see the tulips and the pick up was within easy walking distance.... More

Service was gruff. We booked a room for four nights through the hotel. We had a confirmed reservation for a charming room on a top floor with two beds. When we arrived they sent me to a dark room with a double bed. When I told them It was not what I had reserved they said if you reserve through... More

Dear Miss Alison, I’m sorry to hear you did not have a pleasant stay. The room type you booked, a superior with canal view, is facing the canal so sometimes more noisy than the inside rooms. Noise is due to the fact that the hotel is in the middle of the city centre, also meaning night life. This information (hotel... More
