In all fairness I must say we spent only one night here - not enough to get the feel of the place, but we were satisfied on most counts. The service was polite, the room very good - large, comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated with huge windows. The location is excellent for getting to most places on foot and it... More

We like everything about this hotel: perfect location, great service, clean room, and close to everything. If you're a light sleeper though... it's loud. Leidseplein is a bustling place at night. Even at 3am, the combination of screaming people, car horns, and the tram were keeping us awake. With some earplugs on the 2nd night however, we slept great. It's... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in October. Check in was easy and we were in a room just over the street with the tram and didn't hear a thing! There is Starbucks around the corner and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. You can walk to anything from here. Also, FYI...if you are on vacation and... More

Clean spacious room right in the heart of Amsterdam. Close to all the action. Friendly staff and parking garage a few yards away. Dont try and drive around Amsterdam, everyone rides bikes, but you can walk around most of the city center. Take the canal tour boat, Most of the city is canals and bridges. Very pretty.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Dikker & Thijs for a week (6 nights): -Great location - A walk away from just about anywhere - we rarely needed to use the tram to get anywhere (but in case you need it, the tram station is right outside). -Small hotel – only 40 or so rooms so you have a lot... More

Stayed here for a conference in October. Staff were friendly and the room was ok though not particularly modern (but it was completely serviceable). The location is very central so it's easy to get out and about. The room came with wifi, but no breakfast - but this was no problem as there's no shortage of options nearby. The area... More

This would have been an absolutely great place to stay if it hadn't been for the noise from the street. Every night we were awoken at 2 am or 4 am by noisy revellers getting off the tram or whooping it up as they walked back to their own hotels. The hotel should really invest in sound proof windows. Other... More

We recently stayed in this great hotel for a long weekend visit to Amsterdam. Staff were helpful, the room comfortable and spacious. We didn't eat in, so we can't comment on the food. Great location on the canalside and also for the trams. Walk around the corner and you're in Leidseplein where there are plenty of varoius restaurants offering all... More

I chose this hotel based on previous reviews and I was certainly not disappointed! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotless - our room was cleaned and checked every day and our bedding changed after two days. Having read previous reviews I asked for a quiet room when I booked and we were given 501... More

Nice hotel in great location near main square. Rooms nice size and staff very helpful. Small elevator causes some discomfort. Very transient atmosphere with little room for gathering and relaxing in public areas.
