i was really looking forward to amsterdam and having stayed in this hotel i leave thinking its a dirty grubby sh!t hole! Ruth Watson would have a field day here. We managed to survive the bed bugs (yes! GROSSSSSS!) and the showers in the bathroom from hell full of mildew and oddly placed fixtures that we continued to hit our... more

we stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, found it really quite easily. We arrived into the centre of amsterdam by train and walked to the hotel. The staff were friendly, the reception area was nice and clean and bright, and the rooms were too. They were very clean, and the bathroom was spotless. All in all, this place was... more

We booked through the internet from Copenhagen, arrived from the overnight train. Our rooms were ready and available. They were very clean and comfortable. The bathrooms had powerful showers and a bath. Room size was adequate but the price was good. The promised early morning taxi for the airport arrived on time. This is in a quiet location near the... more

We've just returned from staying one night at the Rembrand Hotel. We chose this hotel because of the good location and the reviews which were quite good so we were expecting a good value for our money. The hotel it is in need of a good renovation, the room we were given: 215 - was tiny - and I mean... more

You really can't beat the location of this hotel. Views from front and back of hotel over canals, so you'd have to be going some to get a room without an amazing view. Breakfast was great value - all you can eat including cheese, cold meats, breads, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, little fluffy pancake things, beans, salad, tea, coffee, cereal,... more

Excellent location (central) close to all important locations. It is an older building so it is not very modern but friendly and worth the money spent here. Courteous staff, great room (No 325), varied breakfast not very out of the ordinary but pleasant. I had no problem with money at the reception, like I saw it happend to some of... more

Very good for Dam Square, Anne Frank house and Westerkirk all only 10 min walk. We had a canal facing room which could be a bit noisy, but after walking round the city all day, didn't stop us from sleeping! Advise doing both day and night canal trips to get the best of both. If going to Keukenhof do the... more

Booked through easy book . com but the booking got a little confusing when 2 people cancelled. Arrived at the hotel after an earl y flight and explained to the receptionist that we were a bed short on the booking but she said it would be ok , on returning to the hotel at the appropriate time a different receptionist... more

Excellent central canal-side location, just a very short walk to dam square - the centre of activity. Service very friendly throughout and cleanliness seems paramount. Room afforded plenty of space if a little basic (we didn't have a view) but all facilities fine. Breakfast (self serve) was certainly more than adequate with plenty of hot & cold food without restriction... more

When I checked-in they collected 50 EUR deposit and I almost forgot about that when I checked out and of course nobody in reception reminded me about that. However when I asked back my deposit girl in reception hesitated to return it and then started to talk about city taxes and clean streets which was evaluated for 12 EUR. I... more
