The hotel is in a great location - just around the corner from lovely restaurants and bars but still quiet. I found the price expensive but then all hotels seem to be expensive in Amsterdam. We paid 220Euro for a Friday and Saturday night in July. Rooms are small but adaquate and very clean. The bed was comfortable, the towels... More

We stayed at The Hotel Estherea for 3 nights in June. What a great hotel....everything that has been said is true...great location, beautiful lobby, free tea /coffee/snacks. There were 4 of us, 2adults and our 2 children(ages 13 & 15). It is difficult in Europe to find either connecting rooms or rooms that will accommodate 4 people. At the Estherea we had... More

Rooms are small- have a hard time thinking of a room being much smaller. It is very clean, and in a good location- central to many things. Staff is so so- not overly friendly. Initially gave me a first floor room which was quite loud due to street- they did agree to change that. They charge around 7 euro to... More

We stayed at the Estherea for 3 nights at the end of our honeymoon. I am so glad TripAdvisor is available, as I would never have found this gem otherwise. The hotel is tucked into the quiet Singel Canal, in a great part of town. Our room was #210 and looked out over the Singel. The street itself is very... More

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The rooms were larger than expected and extremely comfortable. There are great facilities like free tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Very comfortable foyer with 2 areas with large tables for business meetings. Staff was helpful and courteous. Overall, highly recommended.

Had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Estherea in June 2008. During our stay at the hotel we had a lovely room overlooking the canal on the 5th floor. The decor was luxurious, the bed exceptionally comfy, flat screen TV, airconditioning. The bathroom was nice and roomy with two large twin sinks and a huge bath! There is free tea... More

Great hotel with good rates located on a canal. I travel to Amsterdam 8 times a year for business and have been let down by a lot of hotels but not this one. I was looking for a good value as I was spending the weekend on my own dime. The hotel is charming and squeaky clean. Service was very... More

Hello - I booked this hotel based largely on the reviews here. I have to say the reviews were spot on and the hotel was fantastic. The only exception from the reviews was that we had great customer service (this has been complained about in the past). I am picky and felt they were great. The night clerk was very... More

REALLY LIKED: - Location (short walk to Dam Square and Anne Frank House, reasonable walk to Red Light District) - Neighborhood (great restaurants nearby and a lovely little shop selling yummy broodjes right at the corner) - View (see photo) - Comfortable bed and perfectly clean (albeit a bit small) bathroom DID NOT LIKE: - Cost - I realize that... We stayed at this hotel on a short break before Christmas. We have 3 kids under 10 and we had a "family" room that was really 2 rooms that joined behind a common door. It was great for us because it gave some privacy while still having the kids right there. The location was great although we didn't walk much... More
