My parents celebrated their birthdays here recently and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The management were very helpful and gave us a choice of rooms and even left birthday gifts for my parents, which was a nice touch. The canal setting is lovely and the location within easy walking distance of many sights. I can highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of days at the beginning of feb and what a great choice we made. It is situated in a great location on the sigel canal just a couple of minutes walk from Dam square. The hotel decor and furnishings are lovely and the staff are very helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated with... More

I spent a lot of time on the TripAdvisor site to locate a hotel which met our requirements and wasn't going to break the bank. I am delighted to have encountered the Estherea. Our three nights there were absolutely first rate. An extremely comfortable room, generous bathroom with large bath and huge quantities of hot water, a breakfast of a... More

We stayed here for a long weekend at the end of January. Although I had read the reviews I was still a little nervous about the hotel, however upon arrival I was really pleasantly surprised. We arrived to a typical Amsterdam street, narrow with a canal and our hotel was a couple of the traditional houses converted. The reception staff... More

Hotel was lovely. Staff were friendly and willing to help even when we complained about some building work that was going on they were very apologetic and even gave us a night free. The hotel is a short walk from the city centre so the location is ideal. The free hot drinks and biscuits was a really nice touch especially... More

We had a beautiful view of the Singel Canal from our room. This hotel is located within walking distance to everything. Close to all the restaurants in the Spui. 5 minute walk to the Dam Right around the corner to the flower market. We had breakfast included and it was so nice every morning. A little bar, for drinks ,coffee... More

We stayed at the Estherea for three nights in January 07. We had room 110 which was a canal view room (we were upgraded for free from a standard room). We had a lovely view of the canal, four poster bed and the room was a good size with a good bathroom and nice powerful shower. The staff were very... More

This hotel is definitely a looker. Eye catching lobby area, beautifully appointed and adorned. Very cozy, the kind of place where you can sit, chat and drink till late in the evening. The rooms were equally as charming and a decent size for Amsterdam. The service was helpful and ambitious, providing directions, a decent hair dryer and generally trying to... More

I stayed here with my 13 year old daughter, in January. This proved to be a really excellent choice. We had a room on the 5th floor, very quiet, well appointed and a large bathroom, by European standards. We did not opt to pay extra for a canal view-we were only there to sleep anyway ! The public rooms downstairs... More
