Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff in this great hotel. Rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. Free tea and coffee (and lovely cakes!) in the lounge were much appreciated by tired travellers. Really convenient for all the major attractions, but in a lovely quiet location. Restaurant recommendations very helpful. I booked a canal view room which was... More

I booked this hotel for my mum and her friend for their trip to Amsterdam from 26th May to 30th May and I choose the Estherea based on all the comments from the website. I was a bit concerned about the comments regarding the room size but my mum and her friend were very pleased with the size of the... More

Delightful hotel, with a superb location. The room was a little small, but v. cleverly designed in order to make best use of the space. The staff could not have been more helpful, to the extent of printing a train timetable out for me for a journey I needed to make the following day.

This was our first time in Amsterdam and my wife and I were celebrating our 50th birthdays. We were hoping to find a hotel in a quiet area where we could relax in between sightseeing but also be near to the centre so not too far to travel. The Hotel Estherea met the requirements perfectly. A reasonably sized family run... More

We are a group of 11ladies and have just returned from a weekend in Amsterdam. We chose the Hotel Estherea by the excellent reviews and were not disappointed. The hotel is beautiful and the tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies available 24hrs in the lobby was a real bonus. The location is excellent, very quiet picturesque canalside location but only... We booked this hotel for two nights after reading reviews from several sites. The hotel certainly lives up to the positive comments. The rooms, although our room was a little dated in decor, are clean and comfortable. It was large enough for a coffee table and two chairs and had a canal view. The staff were friendly and gave an... Arrived monday afternoon, check in ok, was explained everything in 5 seconds flat. Breakfast was nice plenty of choice, quiet & relaxed, room small & window faced someone elses window so kept curtains closed. Very very clean, maid service was excellent. The disappointment came when speaking to anyone, yes we were answered & that was that. Maybe it was just... More

Just got back from 4 nights at the Estherea... was not disappointed. As most people agree, the location is good. We walked from Central Station without problem. We had room 107, it overlooked the canal which was nice, but the room was small.check -in and check-out was quick. If I go to Amsterdam again , I would stay here.As far... More

Stayed at the Estherea from 13th - 16th May and was a lovely experience. Hotel was immaculately clean and friendly and within walking distance of all the main attractions.
