I wanted to love this hotel, I really did. It is gorgeous in a quiet yet central location. Easy walks to great shopping, good restaurants and public transportation. My deluxe room was immaculate, spacious and lovely with luxe fabrics and a large dual sink bath. L'Occitane soaps were enjoyed. Wifi was OK, but not great. My signal was moderate and... More

I stayed in this beautiful hotel for 2 nights with my two teenager daughter and son. We had a nice and big room overlooking the street, with a king bed and an extra sofa bed. The room was nice and spacious, the only negative was the size of the bathroom that was too tiny, and had a weak door with... More

Lovely room overlooking a canal with a huge four poster. Hotel was clean and felt warm and inviting. Staff were very friendly and gave me some good recommendations for a late night drink. All in all a great place to explore the city from and will definitely be back.

Perfect location, very comfortable and beautiful inside. The staff were extremely nice and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had a canal view room which was lovely although we did have some noise outside on the Saturday night. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel but room directly overlooked another so request. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Very close to attractions in Amsterdam. Bar very pleasant and nibbles at no extra charge along with hot drinks in foyer. Breakfast available at extra charge. Refurbishments still taking place during stay.

We enjoyed staying in this family owned hotel. Beautiful old fashion room with an old style key, but has modern amenities like flat television screen, free Wi-Fi . Nice breakfast. Staff was very helpful. Recommended two very good Dutch food restaurants. Perfect location

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
