We loved staying at The Toren for a long weekend. Would have stayed longer, if possible... We were absolutely overwhelmed by the hospitality of The Toren's staff, the fabulous rooms and the lovely breakfast. We have seen many hotels, but this was really service written in capitals: SERVICE. Describe your dream stay, multiply by ten and you have your stay... More

We arrived in a blizzard and were immediately checked in and looked after by extremely polite and friendly staff. They really were an asset to the place, which is in itself perfectly located for all main Amsterdam activities, beautifully decorated and warm and cozy. The canal view from our window was lovely. While the hotel doesn't exactly have a restaurant,... More

This little hotel is in the canal district. Location is great being a short walk to Dam square across three pretty bridges. There are some small cafes nearby and you can get some snacks in the hotel bar. The hotel staff are very sweet and helpful and the bartender assures me he is a multi-award winning world champion cocktail maker.... More

A 'last minute' decision to go to Amsterdam made us book Hotel The Toren and taking the train to our capital. The special offer (EUR 190.00) for the room was far below the rack-rate (EUR 550.00 !) but still this was one of the most expensive rooms we have ever stayed in. The hotel is decorated in a style which... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Toren. We splurged on the jacuzzi tub and did not regret it for an instant. Total blast. Buy some champagne and enjoy! We also loved the location- right in the western canal ring, close to a ton of great bars, cafes, and restaurants, and the prettiest stretches of the city, if you ask... More

This was my second stay at Toren and will not be my last. Having stayed there in early 2009, I was really impressed by the hotel, the room and the service staff (and the breakfast looked fine and compared to other Amsterdam price-worth. Was rated my top pick in Amsterdam (business travels only, but always with a would-I-choose-this-for-a-weekend-with-my-girlfriend? view), maybe... More

We arrived early Sunday evening in the rain. The hotel, especially the bar are fabulously decorated for a romantic evening. We decided to stay in the hotel bar for cocktails. The bartender was excellent and friendly. We asked for his recommendations for a restaurant that he would eat at. It was a fabulous local place. The location is lovely, quiet but... More

I stayed at The Toren with a group of colleagues from 5th to 6th November. It was absolutely perfect. The staff was friendly and very competent, the meeting room was great and we enjoyed every moment of the stay. I already look forward to come back...

Spent four days here in August for my Dutch husband's birthday. It certainly lived up to the photographs shown on Trip Adviser, but somehow fell very short of the mark in every other respect. We have stayed in some very exclusive hotels all over Europe, but felt this was very over priced and over rated for what it offered.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We were upgraded to a deluxe room upon arrival. Chocolates and strawberries were waiting in our room that overlooked the canal. Throughout our stay, the staff at The Toren were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were great value for money and the coffee they serve in the lounge is divine (I... More
