We stayed in a double in there 2nd building, with a twin bed added for our daughter who was with us for 2 out of our three nights in Amsterdam. The hotel is amazingly beautiful as are the rooms. With the extra bed in our room it was fine although not roomy. After our daughter left to continue her trip... More

I just returned from three nights in Amsterdam which were spent at the Toren Hotel. I was traveling as a single woman alone and wasn't sure when I booked this hotel of its location. I was more than happy with my hotel choice and when I return to Amsterdam, there is no where else I'd rather stay! From the friendly... More

We read the commentary on this hotel on Trip Advisor before we booked here and after our trip, we agree that it deserves all the positive feedback that it gets. From the helpful reception people to the decorations and fit-out of the hotel, it was first class. Amsterdam was always going to be a challenge with narrow and steep stairs... More

Only a quick overnight stay, but this place did everything right. First, location is brilliant, in a more calm residential area that feels uniquely Amsterdam and not like the hectic chain store filled streets in the very centre or round Dam square. If you're looking for quirky neighbourhood shops and bars this is the area. As for in the hotel,... More

I stayed at the Toren for a few nights in August. I have been to Amsterdam several times, so feel comfortable in comparing the Toren to other hotels in the city. Fabulous place and all-in-all, a great choice. High points: fabulous location- a quiet gracht and walking distance to everything you need (Haarlem district is an overlooked gem) and very... More

Just back from 4 nights here with my wife. We stayed in room 431. Spacious, beautiful canal view, Nespresso...etc as others have pointed out and highly recommended. This is an excellent hotel in every respect. But the stand out feature is the friendliness and quality of service provided the staff. In some hotels the staff have 'attitude', in others they... We loved everything about this Hotel and I am an official Hotel snob. It is in the part of Amsterdam that you want to stay in. The hotel is located around the corner from the Anne Frank house. You hear the same church bells she heard, view the trees she viewed from her third floor. Our room at the Toren... More

This may be the friendliest hotel in Europe. We stayed for two nights last week (October 2011) having come from Paris and en-route to Brussels. The buildings are charming (We stayed in the annexe a few doors along from the main hotel) and the location is superb, being a short walk from Dam Square and within easy reach of tram... More

This hotel is in a very pretty location overlooking the canals, surrounded by lots of individual shops, cafes and restaurants. The staff are so charming, nothing is too much effort and they want to help in any way they can. The hotel is in 2 separate houses, the architecture is quite beautiful with lots of period detail. We have 2... More

We recently visited the hotel for our anniversary and couldn't have picked a better hotel. Firstly, a little tip that you can get a hotel shuttle bus from the airport which takes you straight to the door of the hotel, or, it is just as easy to get a train, which runs direct from the airport to the central station...
