Stayed here in April 2013 for my 21st birthday. Our room was upgraded on arrival and so was our champagne and chocolates. The room itself was immaculate, quirky and luxurious. I was hand written a letter from the owners thanking me for choosing their hotel and wishing me a happy birthday which was unexpected and a great personal touch, a... More

We stayed in The Torn last week...what a perfect experience. Everything about this hotel is excellent, from the moment we arrived we were made welcome. The reception staff were full of information on where we could visit. Our room (overlooking the canal) was just beautiful...amazing..spotless...comfortable....ohhh and greeted with strawberries and chocolates. Breakfast, simple but lovely, more than enough. The Bar... Stayed at this fabulous hotel from the 30th January till the 3rd February. I can't say enough about this hotel! It was in a perfect location, the decor of this hotel is just divine. We upgraded to the executive suite ,which was situated in the gardens, the room was exquisite! We had a lounge area, then that led into the... More

What a lovely time we had in The Toren. We were originally booked at Hotel Sebastian, but due to construction, they arranged for us to stay at The Toren. I was initially not happy with the change in our accomodation, but staying in the Toren was a revelation and we had an exceptional stay! From the moment you book.. until... More

I booked the Toren's sister hotel Sebastian's for a 2 night stay for my friends birthday, but a couple of days before we were due to leave I had a email saying Sebastian's had to close for refurb, I was slightly disappointed as Sebastian's looked like a beautiful boutique hotel but a room had been reserved for us at the... The Toren is a beautiful Dutch townhouse over looking the canal. I could wax lyrical about the sumptuous decor, the comfortable lounge bar that serves an excellent quality breakfast with original and and exquisite cocktails in the evening and a superb range of gin. I could also go on about the super rooms with beds so good you don't want... More

I selected The Toren because it was rated number one by Trip Advisor. It is truly a superlative in the hotel world. Everything is first rate, from the monogrammed robes and linens, to the fabulous bed, even glassware, The Toren does it right. The lighting, chandeliers and modern fixtures, rich fabrics and textured wall coverings are a feast for the... More

The room was everything we needed for our stay in Amsterdam and it was very clean. The Bar is beautiful with friendly staff and is very charming and... More

I felt welcome to The Toren before I even arrived. From the moment I sent an email with a question, to the day I stepped foot in the door, to my return home and an answer to a followup email. The service never stops. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The attention to detail is incredible. The reception team was... More
