A very pleasant historic building facing the canal which has been extensively refurbished including air con and ultra modern facilities. Outstanding staff service and cleanliness. Welcome cocktail was a nice touch However, it is showing signs of wear and the room prices are extremely high even for its central location. Breakfast was extra and pretty basic. I expected at the... The location is perfect. Walking distance to everything but on a calm street. The staff is super helpful. The rooms are a bit kitsch and dark, but very well equipped with even a professional Nespresso machine in the room. The jacuzzi and showers are super for european standards.

First and foremost its location. On the Keizersgracht in the centre of Amsterdam. Everything is within easy walking distance, from centraal station to the hotel is only a 15 minute walk. Anne Frank housearound the corner, Rijksmuseum etc. maybe a 20 minute walk. The hotel is located in two stately canal site houses and is beautifully decorated. Clearly a lot... More

The room was small but very nice with a canal view as requested. The staff is especially friendly and helpful. The area is great for getting everywhere by foot or tram. The breakfast is quite good with lots of choices on the buffet and some cooked foods. A favorite was the complimentary espresso machine in the room and the jetted... More

The staff at The Toren deserve accolades for their outstanding level of service. Every question and request was taken care of with a smile. The breakfast is excellent, the cocktails in the bar are amazing (especially the Dutch gin&tonic) and the standard of the rooms, and especially bathrooms, is great. The standard rooms aren't particularly large, but for Amsterdam they... More

The two properties are traditional canal houses which are beautifully decorated with plenty of character. We stayed in the annexe building which is literally 20 seconds walk to the main building for breakfast. The staff on front desk and in the restaurant are extremely attentive and friendly and demonstrate a genuine desire to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.... More

On arrival at the canal side location you enter a small entry way to a fabulous welcome. We were expected and everything was ready to go to the room. However, before going there a very informative young man took us around the ground floor and provided great info about the building and its history. He had booked the special deluxe... More

We stayed at The Toren for 5 days and couldn't be happier we found this hotel. Amazing and friendly staff. The complimentary breakfast is really good for a free meal. We really enjoyed it. We would stay here again hands down. They are lovely little rooms. Yes the rooms are small but that is Europe. We love the location. It... More

This hotel is very chic, and cool. It's plush and tactile. The hotel itself is broken up into two canal houses. We stayed in the one called the Annex. It has slightly larger rooms. The styling is lovely, very bohemian. The bar and breakfast is in the main house. You have to walk a whole 20m to the main house... More

We love this hotel! My husband and I first visited the Toren a few years ago and just knew we would be back. We returned this June for our Wedding Anniversary and it was every bit as fantastic as our first visit. The hotel provided us with champagne, strawberries and chocolate as they knew we were celebrating our anniversary -... More
