I Would not make an intention to come here unless I was in the area. We walked by on our way to Spui Square. Lots of souvenir shops and tons of vendors selling tulip/flower bulbs but there are no real flowers sold. There was one vendor selling fresh flowers and that was it. All the vendors sold the same things.

Not recommended for families with children or members with mobility problems. Very steep stairs and opposite nightclubs which open until 4am. Very noisy Description not accurate or complete. Windows broken, shower room dirty and smells of urine . tv and remote not working . cooker hood broken . dirty towels. Very small. Just arrived and 2 family members poorly with gastroenteritis. Anti psychotic medicine found under bed so obviously not cleaned properly . pillows smell of nicotine . Avoid unless you just need a bed after partying all night . unfortunately we did not do our research as last mimute booking. Not recommended.

I did not read reviews on this place untill the middle of night as we are unable to get any sleep. Checking in at posted address you ring bell no one answers and after 10 min we start to walk away and a lady approaches from down street to tell us our room is 5 min away which ends up 15 min away. It is not the room we chose online but rather it is over a bar on super busy street. The accomodations were clean but it ends there. This is only for students who sleep in bunk beds, and plan to party alll night..if you are not in that category do not stay!! You are better off taking train or taxi 20 miles out of downtown to find a budget accommodation. I would never sacrifice sleep for proximity to town center. Stay Away!!!

I booked this apartment through booking.com a few months ago and assumed everything was ok. It was agreed we would pay the balance in full on arrival. 2 weeks before we are due to arrive I get an email suggesting the card i provided failed to preauthorise. I sent them other details which i know have finds available and would definitely work, they declined these details almost immediately. I called their number 16 times over 3 days, sent 6 text messages and 5 emails, all of which had no response. I would advise to avoid as now I'm left to book somewhere else with the cost of apartments now almost double what it would of been when i booked initially. Disgusted!

When looking at the reviews online before we came I was really nervous about going and unsure of what to expect. We were travelling as a four, two couples and we are young so don't mind the noise at night as we would be out anyway. We arrived at the address which was on booking.com under our reservation and there was no signs or anything. We knocked on the door and a lady came out, we had to walk about 10 minutes down the road with our cases to our actual apartment. It is above a bar and next to a cafe but this didn't bother us. When we got to our apartment it didn't look anything like the photos online, it was modern but a lot smaller. The lady also takes a 25 euro deposit per person (which isn't mentioned). We looked around the apartment and we actually reserved a two bedroom apartment and to our surprise it was a one bedroom apartment with 4 single beds in. I called Jordan the manager and he told me he would call me back in 20 minutes, this never happened. So I then called him back and he told me that he would come give us our money back and we leave because it is a great location and he had plenty other people wanting the room. He was so rude to me and also text me asking who was calling him even though I rang him twice before. We made the best of the room and it did grow on us, the location is amazing and so close to everything. We also got our deposit back but if you're staying here don't expect what you reserved or what you see on the photo's!

The reviews on this place weren't encouraging and I have been fortunate not to stay here. However leading up to my stay the response to queries was slow, insinuations of my card being fake when trying to reserve the booking. Their issue was that the booking needed to be reserved with a credit card as opposed to visa debit. I don't own a cc, and when enquired of the booking could be made in full prior to arrival on debit card. No response. To ensure the booking didn't get cancelled, I had a member in my party reserve with their card seeing as no solution was offered and then made an enquiry as to what charge if any would come of card. The response back was. “Please make cancellation of your reservation, cause its some mistake with booking.com, we dont have any available room for you. We garantee that cancellation would not be charged. Sorry!” This is 3 days before or arrival. Accommodation is not only sparse but expensive and I find this totally unacceptable as I was trying to show that the booking nor I was 'fake or tricking' them as they mentioned in an email to me. No alternative solutions were offered and if they really valued customers they would try where possible to accommodate. A number of my queries went unanswered which were pertinent to the booking. Upon reading other reviews that advise that the location isn't where advertised amongst other negative comments about the customer service from the staff or owner. These were clear warning signs to avoid. Please do the same, don't book at this place. They shouldn't be allowed to be on Booking.com as they themselves are the fraudulent ones.

Really nice aparment the bedrooms are a little small but the living room/kitchen more than makes up for that. when we arrived at first there was no one to meet us and we hadn't took a phone number down so we was stuck for an hour outside but when the owner returned and we was let in we really enjoyed ourselves, Local supermarket 10 secs away and around a 10/15 min walk into the central

So four couples go on a trip to Amsterdam for 3 nights 4 days all exited couldn't Wait to check into our apartment we arrived at this building that they told us to go thinking it was our apartment because we had been walking all morning to then be told our apartment was actually another 15 mins away so we got shown into our apartment the stairs was like climbing ladders we was right at the top of the building got into our room the women didn't tell us anything just took our money and went didn't even show us around the rooms. We had no clue how to work the heating. We asked for a 2 bedroom apartment we got giving 1 room with 4 single beds in it for 2 couples we at to push the beds together just so we could be more warm as it was freezing 4 grown up adults all 21 staying in a 1 bedroom apartment we wasn't happy and to top it of the boss was very rude wouldn't help us change rooms or give us our money back my boyfriend has epilepsy and suffers with close spaces and getting up the stairs and he wouldn't even accept the fact he had that he just wanted to keep the money we spend all day trying to find another hotel and for them to give us money back and he wouldn't. So in the end we at to stay here all of us are students on a budget so we couldn't afford to stay somewhere else so this really upset us. Every night we stayed there we was woken up by loud music screaming from the bar downstairs the music played until 6 am the next morning none of us had a good sleep while we was there. I advise anyone who is staying here to be aware that the pictures they show you is a lie because the pictures we got send was nothing like we stayed in very upset we will not be trusting this company again and we hope that no one else gets ripped of like we did!! SCAM!!!!

Stay here 11/11/16 to 14/11/16 with with partner and 2 friends. Our flight was delayed so didn't get to the apartment until 8.20pm the apartments is NOT the address provided but a short walk down the road above the bar. We stayed in the top floor apartment which was ok we had 2floors, bottom was a living space with wc kitchen/dinning area and sofa bed up stairs was two twin beds, the apartment is basic but what more do u what. Precaution if traveling with small children is prob advice else were as step are steep but this is found in the last few hotel I've stayed in Amsterdam due to the narrow buildings. Bad points When booking though booking.com there was no mention of a deposit or late fee to the apartment. Be very aware that there is a £50 late fee (lucky we got away with as we called in advance and only later my 20 min tires) and the deposit depends if the type of person staying in the apartment we were charged £60 as that was all the uk currency we had on us at the time. The lady was very nice and explained this was because of previous people staying All in all this was close to everywhere either by foot or tram (no 16 stop outside apartment) shops/restaurants/bars and supermarket all very close Would Defo come back x

ACTUALL ADDRESS is Vijzelstraat 39, above the bar as seen on google street view. The apartment we got was not like any of the pictures. It was a room for 4 persons, but I am really happy we were 3, because that was sooo little! 2 bunk beds togheter with another bed squeezed in a opening and sleeping sofa in the living room, where kitchen also is squeezed in. The lady was very rude and angry as we met her by the office, even I called and told a man that picked up the phone, that our plane is 2 hours late. They don't have any communication as they operate appartments? When we arrive the appartment, there was a large sticky spot on the floor and the new carpets were not rolled out. Then she was awkward and suddenly friendly. You have to pay 50 euro extra for check-in after 20:00. And you also have to pay 100 euro in deposit as you arrive. Otherwise we had a good time, and everything is close. It's a noisy bar on street level, the bass was actually pumping in our apartment. Families with small children will have a problem with that I believe. Very close to Rembradt square.
