This hotel claims to be chic. If it is chic to have no drawers, cupboards or wardrobe in the room, then that is news to me. I stored my underpants in the safe. The bathroom was tiny, there were no carpets, no desk, no armchair - and I had a "superior room"! My colleague had to hang his shirts on... More

Arriving at hotel i saw a very small building, with also a small main entrance, but later I discovered that the hotel is based in 3 old different buildings, today working as 1 building and offering 61 rooms. We got a room with view in Damrak Street and we had a beautiful view of thousands of people celebrating the Queen’s... More

Besides boasting very cool room designs by up-and-coming Dutch fashion designers, this was a comfortable oasis to chill out after having loads of fun in the heart of Amsterdam. The hotel was very clean and the service was friendly and helpful. The rooms designs are all unique and definitely great for travellers looking for something different yet comfortable. The rooms... We booked this hotel on the back of the reviews we'd read on here and got a fab deal through Expedia. We stayed earlier this week and we were extremely happy with our choice. The hotel was extremely clean, the designs were fresh and funky and the bed was the comfiest hotel bed we'd ever slept in. We had room... More

We asked for a room at the back, and although there was some initial confusion, we ended up with a lovely room - well designed, quiet, rear-facing and with a new LCD TV and newly-fitted wet room. For the price we paid this was an absolute bargain, and was located in the heart of the Amsterdam City Centre attractions -... More

As boutique hotels go this is one of the best. Fantastic location and great design and style. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The free wifi was quite unlike most hotel wifi - in other words fast, reliable and free. The rooms, each uniquely decorated, are basic and how can one put this kindly, cosy. But what they lack in... We stayed in Hotel The Exchange over the weekend. Unfortunately we got a room with a very bad smelling bathroom. We asked to be moved but the hotel was fully booked. We stayed in the room over night - not happy, but the next day we were moved to a much better room. This was handled very well by the... More
