I loved the location of the hotel, it was in a lovely area which seemed very local with some amazing restaurants and bars (we actually only ate in town once as the restaurants here are so much better) and a nice park down the road, and whilst the location is not in the centre of town it is near enough... I got the top floor apartment. The stair is an adventure, but when you get there... the apartment is amazing, furnished with style, fitted with kitchen and large bathroom. The land lady (Tanya) is adorable and very helpful with suggestions and logistics. I would recommend this B&B to anyone I care about.

One of the finds of the year!! A cracking apartment about 15mins away from Central Station. Tram number 4 is the one to get you there, however I didn't check my emails before leaving so missed that tip. Not to worry though a walk through the neighbourhood wet our appetite for our stay. We have a habit of turning up... More

My husband and I were in Amsterdam for a Business trip at the RAI during the mid of November, and we had a great stay In Tanja's B&B (The White Room) for 5 nights because it was in between Amsterdam Centraal & the RAI. The B&B was clean and simply but nicely decorated. The bed was warm and comfortable and... More

BookedColours based on the reviews and in some ways were very happy, in other ways disappointed. Neighbourhood close to transport but also good for walking. Tanja's restaurant selection for Thai. We had the white room - stairs were incredibly difficult- not advised we had 3 flights - see photos!!!! ( note we would not stay again because of these stairs-... More

Located just a 10 min walk to the canals in Amsterdam and 5 mins to the museum quarter, this is in a great location. The bedroom is huge by American standards. However, the bathrooms are very small, even by European standards and across a small hall. Parking for a car is in a large covered garage about 1 km away,... More

What a lovely way to spend a one night stay whilst visiting a very busy exhibition with a colleague. The rooms were delightful, I had the green room overlooking the lovely street and my friend had the yellow room which has a small balcony overlooking gardens. Tanja was so helpful with maps and restaurant recommendations. There's a nice coffee shop... More

this is a great B&B to stay in amsterdam. The city is very expensive, so this one has a great price. Tanja, the owner is very nice and helpful person, she helped with maps and she is always worried if everything is alright. The room was one of the most beatiful I have ever stayed. Is very peaceful. The street... More

Colors in de Pijp was very comfortable and a lovely place to relax for 2 nights. We stayed in the Green Room which was located on the second floor, street-side. The room was very large and cheerful, with high ceilings and charming decor. Family owned and operated in a less-touristy neighborhood 10 minutes walking distance from central Amsterdam, we felt... Staying in De Pijp

Neighborhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
