This is our 3rd visit in a year and it feels like home from home. The convienience of being so close to gorgeous little cafes and shops and walking distance from all the main tourist spots. We had one stormy day and being able to have the facilities of an apartment instead of a hotel room was great. It's also... More

We stayed at Amphora for 3 nights late June 2015. Niels and Greet provided us with directions and it was an easy to locate via bus from airport and a 10 minute walk. The apartment itself is really good, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. They provided us with a breakfast pack for 2 days, wine and biscuits... More

Greet and Niels were very kind and helped us a lot. The room is beautiful. The location is great and is near the tram stop. There are also good restaurants near by. There are many toys for our children. 很棒的地方。

I truly loved staying at the Amphora Bed and Breakfast! It was just around the corner from my friends' house in the Jordan in a quiet part of town. Easily accessible to all the top tourist attractions even though I didn't see them all! Greet and Niels were very friendly and I managed to visit Greet's art studio which was... More

We had stormy weather in Amsterdam and it was always a pleasure to come back to this cosy place. It is an appartment with everything that you need. Grete is a very host that thinks about all the little things that make you feel home. Centrally located in Jordaan with many good restaurants nearby.

Prior to our stay we had communicated with Greet and Niels and had already received helpful suggestions about our visit to Amsterdam. This helpful information continued during our stay. The apartment is spotless and quiet and equipped so many thoughtful "extras". They have excellent bikes to rent but the apartment is an easy walk to restaurants, tourist areas or buses.... More

I have reviewed Amphora previously and endorse all the comments but must just add something else. We arrived in Amsterdam after a gruelling 10 hour journey from the French Alps only to find due to a technical glitch on my part our hotel was over booked. With 3 teenage children in tow we found ourselves on Easter Saturday with no... More

We enjoy staying in B&Bs when we travel and this was a great one. It is a very comfortable studio on the ground floor so no problem with those charming Amsterdam stairs. The location is ideal. It is walking distance to every thing you'll want to see but in a quiet beautiful residential neighborhood away from the busy tourist areas.... More

Me and My wife we spent five days in Amphora B&B. I considered this B&B a good place to stay as they have only one room, so you will not find any other tourists in the house, just you and the local neighbors. The B&B is very well located within walking distance to the main attractions and the tram station.... More

We stayed in this beautiful little apartment for four nights with our daughter (15). It was perfectly located, well equipped, and cleverly designed, so that it never felt cramped or compromised. The thoughtful details that other reviews have mentioned made for a perfect balance of hospitality and independence, which we all enjoyed very much. I would certainly stay again, and... More

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
