This houseboat is very nice, clean, warm, with nice a view, new furnished and decorated. The owners are lovely people that are always around in case you have questions and to deliver a lovely delicious cold breakfast in the mornings. Be aware that is not exactly in the city centre or close to the main attractions so be prepare to... More

We were looking for a houseboat experience in Amsterdam and found this reasonably-priced option. The surrounding area is cool, it's residential and quiet with several supermarkets nearby. It's a close ride to the center, Jordaan, etc. A 20-30 min walk to Leidseplein. The best area to eat is Eerste van der Helstraat - all local. The Standard room is great... More

My partner and I stayed at B&B Houseboat Little Amstel for three nights. It was great to do something a little different and we loved watching all the boats go by on the canal - the weather was fantastic so all day and in the evening families and couples would be going past. You really got a sense of the... More

Mirjam and her houseboat were wonderful. She greeted us both mornings of our stay with a complete breakfast for two, full of local flavor. Mirjam was also communicative/available when I had questions. The ducks came by right on time for breakfast, and I enjoyed the proximity to the morning boat traffic (peaceful rowing classes, morning commuters, etc.). The stay was... More

We stayed in the Standard room, which was very nice. Enough space in the room, big windows with great view. Everything including the bathroom was absolutely clean. Our hosts (Mirjam and a friend of her) were really nice. Every morning they brought us a big bag with really good breakfast inside. Everything was just perfect. If you are thinking about... More

We truly enjoyed staying here. The room was very clean, small but cute and comfy, and the bed was very comfortable! The location is a short walk to the center of town, yet quite and calm perfect for a relaxing and romantic stay! Our host was lovely! She brought us breakfast every morning, which we ate by the window as... More

What a beautiful place to end our month in Amsterdam. very close to a lot of attractions and transport. Mirjim is such a lovely host. Couldn't fault a thing. The ducks at breakfast time are a bonus. Oh and only a few stairs.

Wonderfull host, went out of her way to help us!😃 We stayed in the Basic room, which is small with pictureresque view from a big window, so it does not feel small. It is very well equiped and comfortable. Has everything you need. The breakfast is brought to you a 9 am and it is plenty. We packed a lunch... More

Found on the Internet by looking up house boats. Amsterdam famous for Diamonds but this house boat is a Diamond on its own. It gives the freedom we wanted without the fuss of Hotels or B/B. Clean, modern, and owners are both fantastic. There on time every day with breakfast delivered with advice etc when needed. Felt like home from... More

It was great to stay at Mirjam's boat last month! The standard room is very comfortable: the bed, shower and temperature were perfect. The breakfast she brings every morning is delicious: orange juice, fruits, yogurt, cheese, croissants... The view from the room is special and the location is also good: close to a metro station and trams. Just don't expect "hotel... More

Staying in De Pijp

Neighborhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
