We booked this hotel following trip advisor reviews, not really knowing where in Amsterdam we wanted to be. Unfortunately the weather was awful, but there was nothing the hotel could do about that! However, they were lending brollies to people and giving advice where to go! The young man who checked us in was great, very knowledgable about the city... More

Just returned from a trip with 2 friends to the fab city of Amsterdam. We are a group of 3 lads (age 40+) who each year go to watch a footy game in Europe and have a few days in a city. We search for hotels that provide clean comfortable rooms at a reasonable rate. Like most we look at... More

We and another couple each stayed 3 nights at the end of September at Hotel Larende. It is in a convenient location, right on the tram line, making it easy to get to the major attractions; walking distance to Ann Frank House. Upon arrival, the owner offered us complimentary drinks in the restaurant before checking in. He and his son... More

My husband and I spent three nights at this modern, welcoming hotel. We had done some research and asked for a quiet room, which we got (204). Looking back, the bed was a little hard but we slept extremely well, one day only waking at 10am. Breakfast had been cleared away but the staff couldn't have been kinder, and rescued... More

In general, my husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Larende. Staff was helpful and friendly, especially the two young ladies working at breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was basic, but it was included in the price, and it did the job. Wifi was very strong, but network in the lobby is different from that on the floors... More

The owner and the staff were very friendly, helpful and talking Turkish. The rooms were very comfortable and well-priced comparing to other Amsterdam hotels. The distance to the city center was a little bit far by walking but there was a tram station(number 13) 100 m away from the hotel. The breakfast was really satisfactory, delicious and well prepared. And also, you can eat your... More

On arrival we were offered a free welcoming drink. Good location, not too far out of the centre and there are a couple of tram stops nearby (13+14 take you into the centre of the city). Rooms were small, but cleaned everyday and had a minibar (not that we used it). Breakfast was good quality and coffee/tea was served fresh.... More

I really wish I could give this hotel a better rating. The people who work here are excellent; the hotel is actually an addition to a restaurant that's been open for almost 40 years, and is quite good - the daily provided breakfast reflects that. Unfortunately, the hotel as a hotel just isn't that great. Rooms are small and utilitarian,... More

We stayed for 2 nights in September 2014, in a jacuzzi room. Checkin was straightforward. Staff were informative and helpful. Checkout was easy. Location is good, but not fantastic. The tram no longer stops immediately outside the hotel. Instead it stops about 200m down the road. Our room was small, which might be typical for Amsterdam. It was clean and... More
