Very easy to find using the tram no 4 from the Central Station. The tram shows the next stop on the electronic screen so no language problems either. The owner met us and showed us to our room. Clean and a reasonable size with an eclectic mix of furniture and a great shower. We had arrived on an evening flight... More

This is a lovely privately-owned hotel along one of Amsterdam's many quaint canals and only a very short walk to the Amstel river. Our room was the cheapest of the lot, room 111, which was located on the lower floor. It was a large, airy double room with a view out onto a very sweet little courtyard area, complete with... More

Very helpful owner and very charming hotel. Large rooms on the ground floor with comfy beds and powerful showers. Wifi signal is very strong - which is a real bonus. Breakfast is good and filling: - croissants and bread, cheese and ham, yoghurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, cereal, tea and coffee. The owner even set up breakfast for us much... More

Great location along the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring), only steps from a tram line stop. An easy walk to many attractions, museums, the Amstel River, other famous canals and historic landmarks. Utrechtsestraat (steps from the hotel) has interesting shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants, and the hotel is within easy walking distance to Rembrandtplein, a lively entertainment square. Tram route 4 provides... More

This is a great, small, privately-owned accommodation in Amsterdam. It was an 8-years from my previous stay but I found this small "hotel" to be just as nice as my first visit. The location is great - close enough to the city center and the museums but far enough from the hordes of crowds. You almost feel like a local... More

Although the position is excellent and the hotel rooms are clean and comfortable the overall feeling at the end of the stay was that we could've stayed somewhere more warm and inviting. One of the negative aspects was the breakfasts. We had been warned that Dutch breakfasts were quite overwhelming and that we would be spoilt for choice. To say... More

This is a really gorgeous old house on a beautiful stretch of canal. If you're looking for something a bit different to the usual chain hotel experience then this might be for you. It's more like staying in someone's home than a hotel. There's no bar, reception or central area to just hang out. Some might like that, some might... More

Stayed at the orlando hotel for a short break, in order to visit the Museums and Botanical Gardens, which were all a short walk away. We chose the Hotel because it was small, yet located on a canal which allowed us to watch boats go by from our window. We had room 115 which faced the canal, was of a... More

Location is great, in a quiet street within walking distance of almost all attractions. We were three people (staying three nights) sharing one of the basement rooms, with our own entrance/exit and a big, private bathroom. The staff were fantastic, and greeted us each morning with freshly prepared breakfast. Also, due to a very late flight and no one waiting... More

Very nice hotel, very well located. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night, but will surely return on another trip to Amsterdam. Very near the city center and just a small walk from major museums. Nice restaurants nearby. Easy to get to from the train station.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.
