We booked this hotel as we thought for a short stay we would not mind a budget hotel. We stayed in Amsterdam for 4 nights, but after 2 nights we had to check out of this hotel, and book a different one somewhere else in the city because we just did not want to stay at the Itc any longer.... More

the hotel room was small but the major problem was with the small white worms found in the drawers, and the sheets were not changed regularly. stayed 3 nights and the sheets were never changed during the stay. also there was no view from our room.

Horrible. The drains in the bathroom did not work causing waste from the toilet to leak into the shower. When we told the staff the manager had the audacity to start screaming at us because we complained. It was unacceptable and almost ruined the trip. They tried to compensate by moving us to another room, but only for the last... More

I recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly gentleman behind the desk who checked us in efficiently. The hotel was very easy to find from the tram station as it was a mere 10 meters away. Unfortunately our room did not look anything like the pictures which are advertised and... More

I arrived here at 6 in the morning (the sunrise was around 9 am) , and it was raining quite hard and my umbrella got broken of the wind. Actually the hotel started operating at 8 am but they let me in because it was cold outside. The staff even offered me a breakfast and let me watch tv while... More

I had read very mixed reviews about this hotel but thought I'd risk it anyway, given my budget. I was pleased with it. I had requested a room on a higher floor which I was given. It is not an ensuite so bathroom facilities are shared with others on the floor. The toilet is separate from the shower room so... More

I've been in amsterdam for a busisness trip 2 night in september. Amsterdam was almost all booked and I've only found a room with shared bath in this hotel. Pros: the position is really good, it is on the line 4, just 10-15 min ride from the RAI center. It is only 5 min from Dam square and city center.... More

This hotel is not The Ritz! You get what you pay for! It's very basic but clean. We got fresh bedding and towels each day! My friends and I were dreading this hotel after reading the reviews. Would I go back? Probably not, the reason being the location wasn't central enough, but for the price couldn't really complain! At the... More

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The receptionist lady was very friendly, hotel clean although the room was poky and there is one shower/toilet for the whole top floor (5 rooms). Stairs are very narrow and steep, but luckily I had only a backpack. Location is great, only 4 stops into Central Amsterdam by tram. Also the walls... More

Staying in Canal Ring (Grachtengordel)

Neighborhood Profile
Canal Ring (Grachtengordel)
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.
