This place is great!! Great location, great organization. I'm pregnant and got sick during my stay in Amsterdam. I asked for a late check out as I couldn't visit the city all day long until taking the plane (at 21:00 only), and the reception offered us a late check out with no extra paying! We really appreciated it. We really... More

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights. The room we were given was on the 1st floor overlooking the road so there was some noise that could be heard from outside (there were 2 other rooms on this floor which did not face the road). This is a good place to stay if you do not need concierge services.... More

This is not your "normal" hotel. A week or do before arrival I was emailed a pin code and room number. I didn't think too much of it until I arrived at 8 am on a Friday morning and public holiday. My pin code did not work and neither did my data on my phone. Strangely, my reservation details had... More

We would stay here again. It was easy to catch the bus from the airport just as they said it would be. And the neighborhood is great for strolling, dining and getting to the Amsterdam museums and sites. The steps are steep and our suitcases were a bit bulky and heavy but its definitely the Amsterdam experience to stay in... More

Wonderful and strange. No reception, nobody, informations through email how to go in. But the result is a wonderful and modern design huge room (what is not so frequent in Amsterdam) with all the comfort you could imagine, modern bathroom, free wifi, coffee and cookies. You won't see anybody during your stay ... I suppose some pixies come to clean... More

I can't really fault anything with the room itself as its big, everything works, beautifully decorated and did I mention it was big? However it sells itself as a 4* hotel and charges itself as such. It is not a hotel, it is a luxurious hostel and one without any type of reception or indication at the entrance. If you... More

Felt like home! Luxurious and quiet, even if located close to the center. Walking distance to everywhere. Coffee facilities with lovely mini cakes every morning. Very comfortable and spacious for a couple. I still remember the light and warm feeling of the bed! Great choice!!!

This isn't a 'normal' hotel, you get a numeric pincode emailed to you a week before your stay, plug it into the keypad at the door to get in. You have to pull your bags up three flights of stairs, which took my husband about 1 minute and you only have to do it once. You use the same code... More

Stayed for two nights over the weekend for wedding anniversary celebration. Forget the negative reviews, this place does exactly what it says on the tin. It's not a hotel and doesn't claim to be one so if you want a reception, concierge, restaurant, telephone etc. then stay elsewhere. Instructions to find the place were e-mailed the week before with the... More

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
