My family stayed here while in Amsterdam and it was an excellent choice. The hotel is beautiful, with a very nice breakfast, and it is located close to all the museums (hence the name). It is a 5 minute walk from the Vondelpark and many nice shops and places to eat. One word of caution is that there is a... More

Terrific suites stayed in the Mondrian, couldn't be better loved it! Loved the location close to the major museums, really good helpful people and the restaurants around there were not cheap but the food was terrific.

This is definitely one of the friendliest places I ever stay in. The staff are very responsive and helpful. The themed rooms are very tasteful and spacious, and the location is very convenient. There is absolutely nothing negative to report.

There was always a warm and helpful welcome from the delightful people running Museum Suites. The generous sized room and bathroom were well appointed. It is located in an inner suburb close to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh and Modern Art Museums and has a good selection of restaurants nearby. It is on a tram route which runs straight through the... Museum suites looked after us very well and were especially welcoming to our 1 year old son. They arranged tickets for Kuekenhof and the Van Gogh museum and generally gave excellent service. If we return to amsterdam we will return to Museum Suites.

We started our trip to Europe here and are so glad we did! The staff was wonderful and the location is excellent! It is a short distance to walk to the Museum, Vondelpark and the tram is close by to access the rest of the city easily. We stayed in the Van Gogh room and loved starting each day with... More

Wonderful house, large, beautiful and clean room with terrace. Great breakfast and perfect location in the Museum district. I've been there in June 2015 for 4 nights and I warmly suggest this accomodation in Amsterdam.

Stayed in The Mondrian Suite. Comfortable, Spacious. Nice area to stay. Good local restaurants. Easy access to centre of city and museums by tram. Very friendly and helpful staff. Mondrian Suite is on top floor, so quite a few stairs to climb.

This hotel had everything we wanted and the personal touches (like fresh flowers) were lovely. We were able to store our luggage the day we checked in and out, which was really convenient. I would stay here again.

It's a small place, unadorned by signage but Museum Suites is a perfect hideaway right at the heart of the beautiful museum and Vondelpark area. It couldn't have been more convenient, right on the tram route allowing easy access to all that Amsterdam has to offer. The hotel itself is quaint, rooms are well equipped and the people who run... Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
