Really not too much to add to the glowing reviews here on TA but here goes anyway! This is a REALLY great place to stay and all the other reviewers have said about the space, the breakfast and the relaxed welcome is true. We knew from René’s friendly mails while booking that this was the place for us and our... More

My sister and I spent 2 nights at the Bed & Breakfast Boat. The houseboat is extremely clean, neat, cosy and comfortable, complete with good wifi, couch, coffee maker, good heater (for winter/early spring), and super nice and friendly host, Rene. The houseboat is spacious, and has its own entrance/exit, so you would have absolute privacy. Rene, the owner, stays... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the B&B boat with René in November 2011 for 2 nights. It was absolutely fabulous! René was very friendly and the little annex house boat is just perfect to stay as a couple. It is extremely romantic to stay there and wake up watching the canal. Every morning, René prepares a little basket with... More

Wonderful, authentic experience. The houseboat proprietor had some minor remodeling to finish on the guest side, but graciously offered his side of the houseboat instead. This was a cozy upgrade from accommodations that were already superb. The location was quiet but accessible, and steps from some wonderful restaurants and a world-famous brewery. The swans at the window, fresh breakfast, onsite... More

The place was absolutely great ! .. what a experience to stay on a houseboat ! I will never forget the view ... and the feeling of calmness that the water brought to me in the middle of the citylife. I was staying there alone but I am thinking of coming again for some days with my husband. It is... More

Staying in the Bed and Breakfast Boat was pure heaven. Though outside the city center, there's a tram stop five minutes away, and the houseboat is located in a nice quiet area. The rooms are spacious, and the shower is absolutely luxurious, as is the incredibly comfortable bed. Every night after sightseeing, we couldn't wait to get back to the... More

Staying here made our experience in Amsterdam go from great to fantastic. The houseboat is located a little outside the main downtown, but the attractions are easy to access through public trams or bikes. The room is quite spacious and comfortable, with a great couch for relaxing, along with a fridge to store food and plates, cups, and utensils. Rene,... More

This place was an absolute gem. It is perfect for a couple but should also work alright with a small family. We very much enjoyed the atmosphere and the superb service from René. We hired the bikes 2 days and that was a perfect way to go sightseeing around Amsterdam, cycling from the east side to west side is a... More

Hesitate to reveal this secret (next time it may be hard to book)... But this place is amazing. Hard to imagine any better. Beautiful spacious houseboat... View is incredible... Hosts are non-intrusive but available when you need them... Location is ideal... Not in the tourist areas of downtown... But certainly close enough... With a great local neighbourhood to discover. Breakfasts... More

You have the best of both worlds a relaxing, quiet location within easy reach of the bustling centre of Amsterdam by either bike, bus or tram. Breakfast was a real treat being delivered to your door each morning - fruit smoothies, fresh rolls, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, meats and cheese. Having the extra room in the houseboat was great for relaxing... More
