I paid the white out of an eye for a double room at this hotel. The location is great by the Spui and the nine street design district is just 30 seconds away which is very good. But, I think the hotel is far too pricy as the room obviously needed refurbishment. It was run down, a chair was so... More

Stayed here for 4 nights. Hotel was very clean and situated in a great place. Lots of restaurants and a few bars on the same street. Coffee shop just round the corner aswell. Was 5 min walk from the centre. Great location and very well priced. Staff were also friendly and would definitely stay again

NH is a strange beast , I both love and hate their properties in Amsterdam, maybe it's because my memory of their properties form 10 idealized ..I don't know What I do know is that while you will get a decent room and ok food they are way overpriced and not even really that clean. The city center is average... More

I spent a week at the NH City Centre last September and had a wonderful trip. The best reason to stay here is the location. This was my first trip to Amsterdam and I did tourist things, while my husband had business obligations. The location was ideal, just a short walk to many museums and tourist attractions- an abundance of... More

The hotel is centrally located and easy to find. Front Desk agents were friendly and service minded. Fast WIFI made sure the working day went as planned. Rooms are nice and spacious enough. Cleanliness was also very good! Breakfast was good as well as very tasty coffee.

Stayed here with four friends in late October, celebrating a big birthday. Art-deco style, no frills, but clean, well-run and comfortable rooms. A calm and professional atmosphere adopted by all the staff. Location is great, with main entrance close to central Amsterdam. Back entrance leads out onto one of the main canals. Easy to get to the station on foot... More

My husband and i stayed at NH City Centre 19-21 December. The hotel was everything but a dissapointment! The location was great! we were within walking distance of every sight we wanted to visit, Heineken experience, flower market, leidseplein square, and the red light district. If your tired of reading reviews, comparing locations, and planning your trip, reserve a room... More

We were in Amsterdam on December 10-13 and we enjoyed our staying very much.. our room was ok.. the bathroom spave was in fact a little too squeezed.. however it was not such a big deal. .. We recommend this hotel for short trips.

I stayed here this June. We arrived early and paid additional more to check-in early. The size of the room was decent. The room was fully equipped. It was comfortable, slightly dated though. I absolutely love the location of the hotel. It is surrounded by lovely cafes. To the left and to the right are easy access to sights and... More

I stayed here in August with a friend for 3 nights, can honestly say we were both in shock at just how nice the hotel was! Our room was amazing with the comfiest beds I've ever slept in and the location was perfect, close to loads of good restaurants and cafe's and the main shopping area! The staff were all... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
