The location and view unbeatable. The rooms are well appointed and spacious by Amsterdam standard. Helpful with our luggage. The F&B service can sometimes be slow and not very warm. Cold and efficient the Dutch way I guess. Lovely property overall with price to match.

I recently spent two nights at a suite at The Dylan and was very pleased by the hotel environment, staff and dining. My accommodations were lovely and my bed was oh so comfortable. The Dylan's location is ideal as it is centrally located, but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to provide a neighborhood experience on one... More

"What's the age of your child? Our restaurant is very fine dining, maybe it's better for you our brasserie" This the email of the restaurant when we tried to reserve a table. Ok. (That' s the first problem) the front desk is seriously confused because they don't communicate among them. The result was that they accuse customers to be thieves... More

After a busy day sightseeing, it was such a pleasure for our family of four to head to our connecting hotel rooms to relax in luxury. The rooms were very clean and stocked with delicious-scented toiletries. The bed was extremely comfortable with crisp sheets which housekeeping would change for you daily, if requested. Some days we would take a book... More

With its plum location at the heart of the Western Canal Belt, the Dylan should be on the short list—but not necessarily right at the top—for any prospective Amsterdam visitor. We cancelled our longstanding reservation days before our stay and rebooked the same room type, a Luxury Duplex, at a far better price through an online travel agency but I... More

Just returned from 3 nights at the Dylan Hotel. The hotel is located in the centre of Amsterdam by the 9 Streets, and a 10 minute walk from the main centre. The chic bedroom housed a range of amenities, and there was a turn down service each evening with a lovely surprise. The hotel itself is beautiful, and each area... More

We stayed for 5 night in this full of character relatively small hotel, in a nice room. We didn't have view of the canals but rather the internal garden patio, but the room was nicely and comfortably decorated.. Bathroom was spacious with an enclosed toilet. Service was fine, although we had a slight incident at the lobby bar, one night....the... More

This hotel has nearly everything you would expect from a small-luxury hotel. Wonderful rooms with great amenities, great dining options, and a charming staff with the one exception being the concierge. We arrived with a packet full of ideas that included restaurants and site-seeing we wanted to do. We told them we were available at any time, any day during... More

We love The Dylan! The location right on a canal in the "9 Streets" is ideal in a beautiful, safe neighborhood which provides quiet, restful sleeping at night. The neighborhood is pristine with lovely shops, restaurants and canals surrounding the hotel. We easily walked to the Anne Frank House, the Van Gogh and Rijks Museums. The hotel arranged a lovely... Staying in Canal Ring (Grachtengordel)

Neighborhood Profile
Canal Ring (Grachtengordel)
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.
