Just between 9 streets and the Jordaan district, this hotels location is incredible. We loved the oddly shaped rooms that reflected the canal houses' original form, whilst incorporating modern day comfort, especially the beds. The courtyard is incredible, a peaceful oasis.

It is a unique hotel, with heeps of rooms in quite a good choice of old houses, in a charming part of Amsterdam. Not always easy to find ones way back to the room or to the restaurant. Well equipped clean rooms, nice meals, quite acceptable service, not (yet) perfect ... some smile here and there would be great and... More

This hotel has a lot of character and is very unique. Our room was warm and welcoming. I loved the location and we walked everywhere from the hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our bed was the most comfortable bed out of the 4 hotels we stayed at during our vacation. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel Pulitzer is a nice hotel in a great location. It is on a beautiful canal in a quiet location but it is very close to trams, the Anne Frank house and shopping. It is an easy walk to Dam square. The rooms are comfortable and clean but very simple. The bathrooms are very small with very limited counter... More

In over 3 decades of being a guest on and off, the current team at the Pulitzer is the best I have ever experienced. My recent stay included interactions with most parts of the property. Under Alex and Duncan, the staff as consistently well trained and eager to help. Long time employees such as Maurice and Carlos remain ever attentive... More

This is a great hotel with an awesome location. Rooms are generous by European standards. The only criticism I have is that the shower stall in both my room and my brother's was kind of short, so if you are tall, watch out! The room in which I stayed had an in-room safe, which was great, the hotel bar is... More

We travel quite a bit and decided to come to Amsterdam for our Anniversary! When we checked in they upgraded us to a suite and had an anniversary present for us. They gave us salt and pepper shakers made out of the delft pottery Amsterdam is famous for. That was so thoughtful. Our room was facing the canal which I... More

I stayed at this hotel with my family for 4 nights. The room was beautiful, spacious and very luxurious. If I ever return to Amsterdam I know i will stay here again. Also, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. However, while the food in the hotel was really good it was a little expensive. Overall the experience was great... More

The Pulitzer is different to other hotels in that it has been created over time from 25 adjacent historic canal houses on two of the most famous "grachten" of Amsterdam (Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht). This makes the hotel layout somewhat confusing (but don't worry, you'll get a map from reception) but also utterly charming. Each room boasts a plaque recounting its... More
